hey all, quick question about this line. Are these similar in scale/size to the Buffy statues? I mainly collect PF, but I just can't stop staring at these mythos statues

Fett the e-11 barrel is straight however it does not line up with the stock at all

The paint apps are indeed among the best, though the SW line has thankfully hasn't had as many paint issues as others. A lot of people didn't prefer to put him with the in-hand light saber, especially as it's undersized (it's a too handed weapon remember, and since it was built of the mk1 grenade size references are available and not "made up").

If they didn't have good paints and amazing designs I think the small flaws would have been even more glaring.

edit: Don't get me wrong though, it is a shame that they had to put this on hold. I was quite looking forward to a pre-cyborg Grievous even though I don't like the PT much. I am happy the McQuarrie stuff is the same size/scale as well so it has something to fit. The attakus bases are normal sized so they don't fix in amazingly well with the mythos.

I always prefer my Star Wars characters with lightsabers.

These are 1/5 scale. The large bases help to bring up the height of these pieces but they are noticeably smaller than 1/4 scale statues.

Yeah the extended bases make them basically the same height (which was the intention). Honestly if you put them a little bit infront of your PFs you wouldn't notice the difference ;p

Are you talking about the Premium Format Buffy line or the maquettes? I believe the Buffy maquettes were 1:5 like the Mythos statues, so they might fit together pretty well.

Gentle giant has nothing new this year eather.
The intervieuw I seen on yodasnews.com is Chris of GG talking about new poroducts when he force awakes has releashed.
The hint was: were gonna do what were best at.
So that has got to be mini bust.
This year SDCC best was the new announced statues of the Weta Hobbit line.
i have some ralph Mcquarrie mini bust of GG.
The Darthvader and luke.
And Ralph mini bust as general.
I'm not bying anything else from Mcquarrie
I bought this years exclusive of boba fett concept art.
And of the year PGM mini bust are have been announced before.

As far as I can remember, the new Marvel comics going forward are part of the new canon, not some half-approved nonsense like many things seemed to be before. This makes me happy, as it's one of my favorite character designs.

Great cover! I need to get that to go with my statue. Marvel didn't just use the Mythos statue as reference for the character design, they hijacked the whole damned concept! Very cool!

Doesn't have the back pack in the issue though but I thought it was a great issue. Shame the other batches were sideshow only as I had one on order from a retailer in the UK. Now it's just silly money

Was a great issue and that Moore cover is superb - already framed next to my statue.

Was anyone else's lightsaber blade not properly on the hilt? Mine's at a weird angle and it really bugs me. Unfortunately i'm passed the returns phase and I only did a quick look when it arrived.

Yep, mine wasn't at a straight angle and the blade didn't even come out of the center of the hilt. If I'm remembering right there was a little hole in the hilt when I "broke" off the blade, on purpose. Hole wasn't centered in the hilt and they used a tiny bit of glue for the blade, which stayed stuck to it when I took it off.

Looks way better without the blue plastic.
