One minor complaint: Why did they make Obi-Wan's base backwards when he's set up to duel with Vader?

The bases should make a half-circle, but they are staggered in an S shape. The power slot on Obi's base is showing. That REALLY sucks for those planning to use the power cord.

I don't think it's backwards but I do agree the power stuff should have been on the other side.

that is crazy that they didn't think about putting it on the other side but then people who aren't displaying them together would have it showing.

my status shows as "shipping soon"...yea! ..oh wait, i'm way out on the east coast...looks like another week to wait for it to arrive.

Brant explained that they had to use the old styro packaging because of the shape of the piece.

The base is troubling, I was going to have these plugged in and operated by a wall switch, but one of the cords will have to come out the front. It seems the footprint area would be the same whether they form a semicircle or an "s" so I'm a bit baffled by this decision.

Yeah for YOU, but for the rest of us, with our cases being made etc, this is a MAJOR surprise. I would like to hear some official response from SS as to why they would do it this way. Strictly from a cosmetic standpoint, I can't imagine anyone would prefer it this way?

I'm not worried at all about hiding the cords. It'll be simple enough to do it inside the display case. Man, I can't wait to get mine.

Yup, I said for ME think I made that pretty clear didn't I? I said nothing about it not being an issue for you all. I just said for me it wasn't that big of a deal. I'm curious as to why it wasn't placed on the other side of the base as well.

Here is a pic from SS site and a pic take from TF. Looking at that pic which is taken from an odd angle it looks like if you display them like this the spot for the cord won't be much of an issue.

I'm not curious why it wasn't placed on the other side of the base, I'm curious as to why the base is curved the same way as Vader's.

The base should have been a mirror image of Vader's base. That would make the cord go in the back, plus it would make the 2 bases look symmetrical (they would form a semi-circle). I actually care more about the fact that the bases don't look good together than I do about the cord, since I use the batteries.

It's the same base they've been showing in pics for a while now isn't it? Same pics as the ones from TF I believe.

Here is another pic from TF. So they might have changed the base or they have one base for the exclusive and one for the regular?
