Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Since pictures of the Rambo 3 are being looked for in another thread and I directed that one here, I'll just repost these because I have no idea where in this thread they might be, if they're even in here, I've changed addresses on files so this is the most current.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Rambo III is one of HT best figures ever. And IMHO the first mass figure that nailed a likeness.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Thanks and yeah, unfortunately Rambo 2 and the tank top First Blood figure were Pre-Yulli, which sucks, the Rambo collection has a pretty inconsistent look when all stood together, though Rambo 2 is the weakest portait of them all, but rightly so as it was the first, also the carrot skin tone isn't too good either.

It's a long shot, but I'm still hoping to see a Rambo 4 figure out of Hot Toys, maybe with all these new bodies, they'll develop one that's beefy enough to be Stallone in his older years.

I can't really remember what was out at the time, but I'd probably have to agree. In my opinion, Yulli's had Stallone down from day one, I can only imagine it'd be even better if she did them today. For some reason though, I still don't think the Rambo 3 bust came out as good as the 1/6, which seems odd because you'd think she could do better with a larger scale.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

If HT makes a Rambo 4 finally, I'll buy 4 of them :lol, unless the 4 looks I'd make don't require 4 individual purchases to build.

Matter of opinion. I thought the 1/4 bust looked even better then the 1/6...I was completely blown away when that bust arrived...

jejeje, yes, i like to see this sculpture especially, with this veteran Rambo, i don't have any Sly figure , and this would be the first , with blood everywhere and his arrow .......:yess:

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

One interesting thing I found comparing the bust to the PF, pretty sure the HT bust is more like 1/5 scale, it's larger than figure heads but smaller than the PF, and even before the PF it didn't seem much larger than figure heads. Not that any of the measurements are necessarily correct.

Very interesting......If anything, I would have guessed the bust would have been slightly larger then the PF

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

No, if you hold the bust head near the Rambo 3 figure head, it's really a small difference in size. Bust to figure, the bust eyes end up slightly higher than the eyes on the figure if you line them up at the jaw, and if you do that with the bust and PF, the bust eyes and up slightly below the PF. Size wise, the HT bust falls between HT figures and the Sideshow PF. It's ok with me, I like having it whether it's exactly 1/4 scale or not, I buy these things because they're Rambo and look good, size only matters in figuring out where to display them.

If HT does a Rambo 4 this year I'll go nuts, it's probably the most sought after Rambo item for me and if they did it, 2010 would be the best collecting year ever for me.

Would be nice see this comparison Sean , when you want show us.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Can do, and certainly, any requests regarding the PF I can try to accommodate.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

So have you had the Pf for awhile already? Sort of an early bird for taking the photos?

I agree, i was thinking that, with T-800 would be the bests for this year.

Well, I'm assuming the entire T2 line from Hot Toys will be out within 2010, which is a delight, but the first T-800 alone is awesome, then there's 2 Rambo 1/4 scale statues which is awesome, and finally having the missing 1/6 figure representation in my collection fulfilled would just be awesome. I'm really nuts about having each Rambo film represented by at least 1 figure. I bought the HCG 1/6 Rambo 4 statue to have some 12" representation but I still want a posable figure from Hot Toys, it's been driving me nuts not having it.
