Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Looking good,me myself had Rambo 3 on a 1/6 scale horse earlier. Is that parts put together or did you buy the whole car like that?

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Thanks bro. I did see your Rambo 3 on a horseback earlier in this thread when I backread it. :) Looks great!

The jeep came with the radio, mounted machine gun, gas container and stuff. I bought it that way. I think it always had it.
Then I just placed Rambo's weapons at the back. :joy

Wish I had a Trautman, so I can make dios of them together. :banghead

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Is it true that you have to take Rambo out of the box because there would be a chemical reaction between the plastic tray and the rubber of the muscle body?

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Haven't heard that one, but don't particularly need to know anyway since I don't keep my mine boxed.

As for Trautman, you really do feel a sense of completion to a Rambo figure collection once you get him.

I'm very close to customizing mine into the Trautman I always wanted, which is partly why I never got the HT one until this past summer. For me, Rambo 2 Trautman is the look I'd want, if I only have one Tratuman in my collection.

I found a 1/6 uniform just like his on eBay, so I'll get those, swap him out and he'll be just like I want. Will go good with the Rambo 2 figure, especially now that I found a 1/6 M60 like he used from the Chopper so it can be like Trautman beside him before he lights the hangar up.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Thanks. I'm just hesitant to display Rambo 3 because even if it's inside a glass cabinet, dust can pile up after a week.

What do you recommend as a cleaning agent for Rambo's rubber body?

And yeah, I also like that get-up of Trautman.. I'd also like to do a bash of Trautman from Rambo 3 when he goes to investigate by himself and gets caught by Col. Zaysen's chopper gang

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

I usually just spray my Rambo's with a can of compressed air to get any particles off them, but usually my worst issue with dust is the hair, damn Stallone and his curly locks :lol

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Haha.. Thanks a lot for the advice! :) I'm hoping this 2010 would bring me good fortune, so I can complete my Hot Toys Rambo collection, and so I can focus on customizing other characters (like En-Jee, School Boy, Mousa Gani, etc.)

That sounds great. Can't wait too see those customs! Great pics too!

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

It's a long shot but I take anything as possible sign for my dream finally coming true.

This tidpit was posted in the T2 thread as translation from an article with Hot Toys' head guy.

2) Confirm by Howard himself: Christopher Reeve SUPERMAN / TRON 1982 and some other movie classic are coming in 2010

I know I'm just being a dreamer, but, c'mon Rambo and Rocky, c'mon, it's your year.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Whoa whoa whoa, Chris Reeve Superman CONFIRMED?? :horror:horror

:chew:chew

Sorry to hijack your Rambo thread.

I'll concede, custome Stallone body. I just want a new Rambo. I prefer from Rambo IV to complete the circle however, a 'revised' Rambo II wouldn't be bad either.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Rambo 4 is must for me, it's the reason I keep hoping for new Rambo, to have all the other movies in HT figures and not Rambo 4 drives me nuts. However, if they put out a new Rambo and it was a retread of an old figure, Rambo 2 is the only one I'd really accept in lieu of Rambo 4, it's a very off figure all around, orange skin, so-so sculpt. The original FB could be updated too but it blends better with the whole line up and if we got that rehashed before Rambo 4, that'd actually annoy me. I'd still buy it, but I'd be really upset.

Agree 100%. Rambo IV is needed and the reasons you stated is why I would grudgingly accept Rambo II instead of IV.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

The original First Blood isn't as nice as a Yulli sculpt, but I recognize it as Stallone, the Rambo 2 looks generica and I don't care for the hair style either. I'd love a Yulli sculpt with hair like the Sideshow LSB.

The good news of no Rambo 4 yet is made today it'll be be much better than anything before now. HT's breaking into custom, proper bodies for each character, and their figure bases are becoming more elaborate. This favors a Rambo 4 that would look like a grizzly bear as Stallone did in that movie, and the likelihood of the 50 cal machine gun being worked in as part of the display base grows as you see stuff like Tony Stark with the mech arm. A few years ago we'd get the old Rambo body, which is too skinny, and probably no gun.
