Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Nice one!

Is your Rambo 2 body good?Judging from the pics it looks brand new, pose it in a Glass cabinet with arms straight down.If you ever try to bend anything on the upper body you will know quickly that it is a bad idea, just a tip :wink1:

I just bought it a few days ago used and it still looks brand new to me. I heard about these bodies and it will go behind a glass case arms posed straight down like you said.

Here's hoping part 4 will be made

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

To the Rambo Elitist. I got a few questions. I finally got my Rambo III figure that is used on ebay. Here is the auction with some pics. https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.d...sl5MR6Q%3D&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWNX:IT It was a deal and it states mint but only missing the dagger. But the bow holder where the arrow attaches is broken, that is the only other problem I found. Other than that it is as described. Is it a big deal?

Another question, does he come with an extra hand and peg like Rambo II does?

Oh and now having Rambo III I'm still happy I purchased the Rambo II, they both look badass!

Here's the outcome as of now with the broken bow, when I emailed him he told me he'll do whatever to make me happy with the purchase even offering a full refund even the cost of shipping. Then he told me he is watching a bow on ebay and ended up winning it for $27. I also just left him positive feedback the time I told him about it and I trust in the outcome he does. So he said once he gets the bow he will ship it to me. Bottom line, there are still good people out there selling on ebay.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Have allmost all the Rambo HT figures except Rambo III. Am thinking about selling the Halo figure though

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

:yess::joyMy Rambo set will be complete in a couple of days! Rambo M65 Jacket and Col. Trautman should arrive any day now and I finally found a Rambo w/M60 First Blood at a decent price:winner Now Hot Toys hurry and officially announce the Rambo 4 figure:impatient:

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Tho it was shipped to me about a week ago I finally was able to check out the Rambo M65 version and Col. Trautman today. I have to say I'm more impressed with Col. Trautman than the Rambo M65. Glad I picked op Trautman, wouldn't pick him up if it wasn't at a great deal. Now just waiting for my Rambo I First Blood to arrive any day now.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Well, while the M65 is a far better portrait, the clothing on the Trautman is very impressive, some of HT's best work and it was back in the day. The M65 is a bit of a let down in the tailoring department.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

That's interesting that you like Trautman better then the M65.

Btw what did they cost you?

Cost me $340 shipped and it is still MIB and never removed

Yeah, that is the reason why I'm more impressed with Trautman. I like Rambo III portrait better than the Rambo M65.

M65 is a great portrait in that it captures his First Blood hair and look wonderfully, but, there is a lack of emotion to it, which is where the Rambo 3 edges it out, there's a great intensity on that sculpt, and any new Rambos will sure pack some great expression too.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

I have a mint condition John J. Rambo from First Blood (gray tank top version w/ M-60). How much is this figure really worth?? I'm considering letting it go.

I gotta respectfuly disagree with you Maulfan, I think this sculpt perfectly captures that "far away look" that Rambo has in the beginning of the movie. Heck, Stallone uses this blank far away look in most of his movies :)

The one really great Trautman clothing accessory is the trench coat, has anyone used it to recreate the final scene in First Blood where Rambo wares it as he walks out of the police station. Love that song that plays during the closing credits. I think it's called Long Road Home.

If you go back a bit in this threas, I did a series of photos replicating the end of First Blood.

We may be in luck soon, it sounds like HT is preparing to do a lot at Christmas as a big finale to their 10th anniversary, with the recent Stallone poll, we may see fruits of that in their upcoming reveals.

:pray:Where'd you hear this from?

In the Indiana Jones section, HT's announced a DX Indy coming as part of their big 10th anniversary event at the end of December with lots to come. Seems like the quiet of announcements may be to save the big stuff for this event.

Rambo would be very fitting as he was one of their earliest MMS releases.

Hope so, sounds like star wars too

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

I'm planing on doing a 1/4 full body scale Rambo 4 really soon. I wanted to know what paint does HT use and I think I found it. Searched the net for reference pics but I think I'm gonna get the blue-ray to have all the angles I need for the sculpt.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Off topic but the knock off Rambo III arrow set that was talked about a few pages back are now surfacing on ebay and bids are going for over $40. Wow, glad I POd a set for around $20 shipped.
