Got my BQ tonight, As everyone has said she really is Amazing, happy I kept her and didn't cancel considering all the backlash she got when she was first introduced.

here are some crappy pics of her and her friends:lol

Can't wait to add SW adn Mystique :D

Nice display Power. Did you remove the straps to Emma's cloak? It looks like they were broken off.

nice setup, power.

hey, is your display shelf the "billy" bookcase with add-on glass doors from ikea?

yes the display case is a billy with add on glass doors, it really REALLY helps with cuttin down on dust and gives it a better look overall. i have 2 billy's with the add on glass that stand right next to each other and on either side the add-on dvd compartments that run the length of the billy itself.

as for white queen, she only looks bigger cause BQ is arching her back so much, and for those of you that noticed the draw strings on the cape are missing it was done on purpose, they are not broken off, it was just a mod i did, i think it looks better like this, i was never a fan of the strings sticking out just hanging there in mid air. to me this looks better like she dropped the cape and the strings retracted back into the lining of the cape.....rest assured they can be reinserted back on as if they were never removed :D

interesting, i will have to look at mine. i also wasn't a fan of the straps, though the longest one does attach to her hand, and most pics i've seen have the longest strap sticking in mid air.

The one that attaches to her hand, on mine anyway wasn't attached, it just say in there like BQ cape. i think it looks better without the straps IMO, but if i ever need to put them back for some reason it is easily doable and you would never know they can be removed :D

* runs to check out emma's straps*

back already, and yes they do remove quite easily, though i stuck them back in for now since i don't have a clue as to the where abouts of her box.:D

ah, cheers! that's great, cos i was planning to get 2 billys plus the glass doors. they're much sturdier than detolfs so i don't have to worry about my collectibles crashing thru a thin glass plate. :horror

btw, do u know if it's easy to get the spotlights wired into the billys? i imagine u'd have to drill a hole at the back since it doesn't seem to have an outlet hole to feed the electrical wires thru.

Yes much sturdier then detolfs!!! MUCH!!!

As for the lights, i don't have them wired into my billy's i have other sealed dust proof glass cabinets that have the lights wired into them.

the reason i never did it on the billys is because you do have to do some drilling and retro fit the lights in, it's easy enough just gotta grab me some spare time.

BTW....billys' are cheap but the glass doors ARE NOT in comparison, i think for the price of 2 doors you can get 2 full size billy's!!!

same prob here, even if i wanted to put the straps in i would have to find the box first :lol

yeah the glass doors aren't cheap but make the display look much classier.

btw, i noticed there's a huge gap in the centre area between the 2 glass doors on the billy. that kinda worries me, cos dust is easily gonna get in.

oh yeah these def aren't a solution if your looking for dust proof cabinets but they do cut down on the dust ALOT (depending on the amount of people that visit that room each day and if the door can be closed when no one is in it...it cuts dust down like 80 percent i've noticed), the gap is about an inch wide, no more then that not alot of room for dust to get in.

I have dust proof cabinets but i save hose for my 12 inch figs or certain PF's, pieces that have real cloth or leather (hot toys TDK figs or the recently released SSC Vader 12 inch for example) didn't want to worry about cleaning dust off those. pieces like commiquettes you can just wipe down and place back on shelf, thats why they go in the billy.

if you have the $$ i recommend getting the doors. Besides Statues and collectibles always look better when they are behind glass :lol

i agree. rubber bodies especially are a total pain in the a$$ to clean! my tdk batman's armoured suit is now covered in a thin layer of dust cos i've been displaying him on an open shelf. will have to slowly & carefully clean the dust off. these things are so delicate.

will definitely get the billys and the glass doors. (thought of adding a clear plastic strip lining the edge of the glass door to close the gap.)

those will mainly be for my 1/6 figures and pfs. my 1/1s and comiquettes will be displayed elsewhere... :)

Just received my Black Queen Exclusive. She is magnificent and looks really nice next to the Emma Frost Comiquette! *Sigh*, now if only the prints would be the same size...oh well
