Thank you, i appreciate the recommendation! I think i'm gonna switch all my preorders for non-ssc exclusives over to alter ego.. they seem to charge a heck of a lot less, and with all the stuff i have on pre-order, that's well over 100 bucks in savings for me.. so yeah.. kind of a no brainer right now..
sideshow's about to lose my marcus, t-600,t-700, jc, and more..
not that they really care.. but i do.. and i'm sick of seeing prices go up and up and up for no reason. I have a feeling Marc is going to be my new hero as far as collecting goes.

but REALLY.. the price difference is HUGE. Between just the figures i listed above, my price difference pays for my ENTIRE han in carbonite!
THAT IS AMAZING!

Here's my contribution, just got my Han in today. I also picked up a case for my Jabba.

Its not a perfect case (had to kind of cram everything in there lol) but I got it cheap off Craigslist and it does the job for now until I can find a better one........................

Nice to see proof that a display light located properly can fall upon Han just as it should.

I want to see if I can find some sort of red LED lighting that isn't too blatant that could be set up along the bottom of the piece to light the wall behind the carbonite, that'd be awesome, but I don't want the light unit to stand out too much either.

Thanks everyone! It definitely adds to the "mystique" if you can get some lighting above it. I just used a battery operated puck light. But I love the Carbo Han and definitely recommend it to anyone who is a Jabba/Han nut like myself...

i got mine but im a little bothered...why is han black, in the film he is obviously grey/silver?

In low light, he's sort of flat/matte gray... with direct light, he's more metallic.

He has two tiny little paint chips on the block.. one on the side top corner.. and the tiniest one just above his hair as it blends into the block. If you are not RIGHT down in his face, you can't really see them.. but.. idunno..

what do you guys think? Should I try to return him/exchange? Or do you think most of these have the chips?

Sideshow already let me know there is no way they can get any paint to me (didn't think so, seeming as it is from china..)

just wondered what you guys would do. It seems like a hassle to send him back.. but i'm right on the fence about if it bothers me enough to send it back..

Chips are chips. I'd contact Sideshow's CS and show them pics. They may have you smash it to bits and send you a replacement without having to bundle the whole thing up again to return it.
