I think the only way anyone would ever buy this piece if reissued is by itself, anyone who didn't want to spend the money to get the wall too isn't going to spend the same money for some carbonite chamber floor, but I don't see Sideshow doing it, thankfully, they're good about doing a thing once and moving on instead of reissuing or besting it 6 months later.

Any chance of getting this off the waitlist at Sideshow or is it long sold out?

My brother and I just got ours off the waitlist!

It had a "damaged" box...it was only slightly dented on the corner, which we care nothing about.

This is really an awesome piece...hope you can land one.

BTW, we got on the list waaaayyyyy late and still got one in perfect condition with NO damage at all to the product. You never know, you may get one that's perfect, box and all.

Re: Han in Carbonite 1/6!!!!!!!!

I just got this baby off ebay for 249.99 not too bad considering he costed 200 directly from Sideshow.

But I didn't realise how ***** big he is :D

I think he will have to collect dust in the cellar until i get a dedicated theatre :/

I finally got one of these. One reason I had put it off was that I didn't have a good place to put it, but I finally decided to move my Sideshow Jabba stuff on top of my 4 Detolf cases, which gave me enough room to display Han next to Jabba. I actually got a pretty good price on it -- $142.50 shipped from ebay, and it's brand new.

I'd say it's a pretty nice piece, if not an amazing one. It's a great addition to a Jabba display, but it doesn't quite have the "wow" factor that some other pieces have. But I do like that we got the part of the wall in addition to the carbonite block.

Nice score, so what's the story on your C-3PO? He looks nice.

I actually just got shelves yesterday to accomodate my Han in Carbonite. So for the first time he's no longer on the floor :lol

I'll post up some pics later today :rock

Well first I took some fine grain sandpaper and roughed him up a little. I was trying to help the paint stick to the slick surface, but it might not have been necessary. Then I used a brown wash, which I applied and let dry, and then I wiped it off in places to let the gold shine through.

Re: Han in Carbonite 1/6!!!!!!!!

Guys, I just received this little sucker.
Its a really nice piece!

But the diorama is too big and a little too much for my taste, i'm thinking of displaying just the carbonite hanging from the wall much like a painting.

Anyone who did this? Did you use the orignal hole or drilled two new ones and used a wire like you hang traditional paintings?

Do you have the Jabba setup or did you get this as a standalone piece?

I have the Jabba Diorama, and its that piece i don't really like. Its too big, and too much. That's why I want to hang it like a painting instead of using the diorama. I could just mount it in the same way as the spike on the diaroma. But i think its magnets in the diorama that makes it stick better to the wall, so maybe it will not be attached good enough to a regular wall..
