I thought that too, but really, this thread doesn't get much activity at all. The individual threads for figures are pretty much dead. Maybe we could get a new thread running with an OP that isn't banned instead, and use that to talk about figures as they come?

I think a sub forum would actually encourage figure discussion. It'd be easier to see unread threads, particularly if people aren't subscribed to all the HP figure threads. People would find it easier to find the specific figure threads and post in there, and this thread could be devoted to more general discussion, collection pics, convention announcements etc.

To be honest, a HP sub forum would probably get just as much attention as the Disney, Whedonville or even Indy and LOTR sub forums, which all don't have very many active threads.

It'd be a good idea IMO but whether it's worth the time is up to Dave.

I concur. I think there should be a Harry Potter sub forum. There's quite an interest in all things Potter related still and With Fantastic Beasts coming soon, it's only going to increase. It also might bring a little more attention to this line.

How about it, Dave?

+1 :exactly: Me too!! :)

Yeah, I agree with that too. I'm subscribed to most of them and would much prefer a sub forum to bookmark.

Keep this thread for dioramas and tweaks etc would be excellent. It would be better if it wasn't SA specific too, Just 1/6 HP, so we could chat about things that compliment the SA figures (like the Noble mirror) without fear of going off-topic.

Some kind of subforum would definitely be nice. As is, this page has kind of become a catch all for every figure that doesn't have a licenced home. From old movies, to tv shows, to weird Asian crap like court jesters and oil-drilling monkeys.

I don't know if a Harry Potter subforum is the answer because it only eliminates a couple of active threads from the problem. Maybe sorting by catagories? A subforum for figures based on tv shows would clear this place up a lot more.

Can you explain this? When have we talked about anything in this thread that's not licensed? I must be missing the point.

Huh? Have you posted this comment in the right place?

Not this thread, but the General Collectibles- Action Figures section of the forum.

Also by licensed I was more referring to bigger licenses/properties that are big enough to have their own forum section. Though there is plenty of completely unlicensed stuff here as well.

Oh, I see. Thanks for explaining - I was being thick and you totally lost me.

The fact that this is constantly out of view kind of adds to the problem. This area of the forums is so active that a bit of lull causes this to fall out of the first page, meaning more people don't see it. More people not seeing it = less people talking about it.

It's like Voldemort's prophecy, self-fulfilled.

Anyway, I just got caught up with all the pictures from way back when. Lucius sounds exciting, I might have to buy Gambon now, but who keeps doing the noses on the older kids? The noses for Goblet of Fire Harry, and Prisoner of Azkaban Harry and Hermione are all off and it's ruining the portraits.

The same sculptor as before. We just didn't notice because they started with Voldemort :monkey3

Did I start a meme war? Is my life finally complete?

Back to the topic at hand. We know they're working on Bella, and Lucius now... I'm seriously sad about no McGonagall... yet. Then again, doubtless the nose will ruin it for me.

238.99?! Isn't that kind of a price jump?

Is Star Ace gonna be at whatever that hong kong toy convention is this coming weekend? Hopefully yes. I need more Potter toy news.
