Saw Fantastic Beasts last Saturday and really liked it. One of the most enjoyable movies I've seen in theaters this year. Interesting characters, good pacing, great visuals. I didn't really find anything not to like about the film.

I'm hoping to see Newt and Graves figures from Star Ace soon. I would love to have all four of the main characters, but I don't think that's likely.

I'm hoping for Deathly Hallows Part 2 versions of the main trio, mostly cuz Hermione has her hair in a pony tail, so they likely won't use rooted hair on her, unless they really want to make a terrible looking figure.

Looks like school robes Draco Malfoy is selling out everywhere. BBTS shows 1 pre-order left and SS has him waitlisted.

Could be a bit of a false alarm. It seems that most of their figures sell out around the release date and then seem to pop back up in ample supply.

Star Ace hasn't announced anything since their Dracula figure in September.

I know right? I would've expected at least a ******* Tarantino unpainted sculpt tease by now. I still need to learn not to get hyped about a ****ing poster at a show. HT has burned me to cinders by now.

But the DH1/2 trio is what is referred to in the industry as the finish line.... Star Ace is playing this beautifully. They know there are a lot of collectors out there (maybe most?) that would be happy with a single 1/6 representation of Harry, Ron, and Hermione for the entire saga. And if those people could vote, they'd likely opt for a DH version (or maybe any version from OOTP on). As soon as they make those, the trio buying would stop for what I'd guess is a large majority of us.

So to maximize the return on investment for the initial cash outlay on the license, which had to be extremely expensive, I'm guessing we're going to see at least a few more rounds of the younger versions before they hit the grand finale.

Thats all all fine with me (I'll be waiting on the older versions of the Big Three), I just hope that along the way Star Ace throws in some adult characters that they can market as being from the earlier films (McGonagal comes to mind) whose likeness will work for any of the latter films.
