I'm certainly hoping that all that comes true - I'm not keen on this whole 8" thing, but the HP news sounds good, especially since it opens the potential for Bellatrix. And just because this thread needs a new photo:

I may have spoken too soon.

Some guy named Paul Cho on the Star Ace Facebook page, appears to be working for Star Ace, and he's saying that Hermione will have a new head sculpt and that they'll be showing pictures soon.

He's been answering questions and comments in the post for the 1/8 scale figures. Sounds like the DC CW figures will be in that scale as well as Underworld figures. It sounds like they'll be focusing pretty heavily in the scale for other lines.

He's also saying that they'll be announcing more 1/6 Harry Potter figures. He mentioned some of them would be dark side characters so, perhaps Lucious Malfoy and Bellatrix could be on the horizon. He said that Newt Scamander is under final painting and should be going up for PO by the end of Q2 and that he'll come with some "gimmick".

It'd be cool if Dave could confirm that this guy does work with Star Ace, and if the reworked Hermione head sculpt is the reason for the delay.

All of this info seems to have been posted on May 4th. If this guy is legit, he has seriously reinvigorated my interest in the line.

Really great to hear Newt is still coming, and I'm interested in finding out what that "gimmick" is going to be. I wonder if the reworked Hermione sculpt is going to be on the version coming (hopefully) this month, or if it's only going to be on this new listing.

EDIT: just checked my email and she's been pushed back to August/September.

I think the gimmick is just gonna be some of the beasts they've shown off. Only other thing I can think of that the gimmick could be is a light up wand, but that would probably look way out of scale.

Paul Cho is definitely legit. You can take whatever he's saying to the bank. I'm not sure why retailers are resoliciting Hermione now, but she is being redone.

First thing I thought of was the suitcase. He could split at the waist and be displayed partially in the suitcase. That would make for a unique display at least.

I think they're probably redoing it. It got a lot of flack when it was revealed, and it seems like they really are listening to feedback.

Hope they do a re-reveal soon then. I was actually ok with it the first time around.

But if they are listening to feedback, can I say for the record that I absolutely hate the idea of 1/8 figures, especially if that's all we are going to get for the CW DC universe.

Me too. I think it's too expensive for something so small.

Is the Snape worth it? I have this as a custom from six ice cubes, but was wondering if an official figure would look better. $200 seems rather high for what he looks like. My custom isn't perfect either mind you.

Your custom looks good and I really like the sculpt. If possible, I suggest you just pick up the star ace Snape robe parted out to add to yours rather than buy the full figure.

Can't say I'm crazy about the way the hair looks on the custom, but the face is perfect I think. It actually looks like an expression Alan Rickman made as Snape. Other than that, I'd have to agree with what Bravomite suggested.

As far as I know he makes his own sculpts. He sells these on eBay once in a blue moon.

Bought the last teenage Harry Potter BBTS had in stock. I felt dirty doing it since I said I wouldn't buy any of the teens unless they made teen Ron, but I'd hate for Ron to finally be announced and then Harry is long sold out. Ugh.
