this is THE best Hot Toys news ever. Now the only dilemma is should I sell my Medicom Snake to make room for what is sure to be the vastly superior HT Snake.

I'm still keeping my medicom's as they are more figures of the artwork more so then the game i think.

Anyway it's not like you can make a profit on them now with the re-released figures, if you have some spare grenades or thing's like that from other figure they look great on the snakes, all the stuff from my br joker's bag are on one of my snakes and he look awesome!

I'm so glad I never pulled the trigger on any of the medicom ones, the quality just wasn't up to par for what I expect. There were a lot of issues with those and not worth the hassle, plus they are in slightly different scales.

I'm really hoping they're going to tackle some secondary characters: young Ocelot, Volgin, the Cobras, the Foxhound unit, the Dead Cell. Those would be awesome.

I'm just getting a little sick of seeing Big Boss everywhere... He used to be a mysterious, mythical character and since MGS3 he's pretty much replaced Snake as the main character.

To me, there's only one real Snake, and he's in MGS1.

I'm so hoping that they're gonna make at least a dozen different characters. Hopefully the licence was extremely expensive lol

MGS2 Snake and a good quality Old Snake and I'm good. I was going to get the Medicom Old Snake, but the limited articulation and not so good paint for the sculpt AND limited accessories made me change my mind.

Hope Hot Toys makes the MGS2 Snake first.

Doubtful, that's just a custom, there was a few Iron Man customs on display from various artists, it's just a coincidence that they announced MGS at the same event.
Looking at this announcement seriously I have my fingers crossed that the first figures they release will be based on the first game , though it's more likely they'll be based on Peace Walker. It will be interesting to see nevertheless. Very happy to see the Videogame Masterpiece Series expanding.

I hope it is not either of them. I want an MGS2 Solid Snake and later, they can do an Old Snake. I hope they also end up doing a Rising Raiden.
