This story just gets cooler and cooler as I read on Avenger!
Black Bart stole nearly 500 ships? That's insane

I know right? What do you do with all that stuff? I won't spoil the story of his demise here, but I got the impression he was ready to die. Piracy was on the outs because all nations were trying to put a stop to it, and you know he had just had enough. The days of taking Spanish ships and getting English rank and title were over. This guy sailed all around the Atlantic, from South America to Africa (where he died). An amazing life, but a criminal one.
I will divulge one thing. Black Bart's body is laying at the bottom of the waters somewhere off the coast of Africa today. It was his request for his body not to be taken, and his crew tied weights around him and threw him overboard immediately following his death. It was never recovered. So, you can imagine some skeleton with chains tied around it embedded in sand in the dark waters right now....
Yea I read a ton on real pirates the past few weeks getting hyped up for OST.
Blackbeard and Bartholomew Roberts are very cool to read about. Also check out Henry Morgan, Calico Jack who came up with that Skull and Crossswords you can see in my avatar(the flag Barbossa flies on the Pearl), and his famous pirate girlfriend Anne Bonny.
Penelope is gorgeous and was a great character in this movie. I do want a figure of her. Take that Carl!
Oh! One last thing I learned on that program that I was surprised at.
It turns out a pirate captain did not have absolute command. In matters of where they went and what their goals were, it was very democratic amongst the crew, often coming down to votes. It was only during battle that the captain had complete control and his word was law. Any other time, it was not so. When a pirate crew formed, each person became a member of the council. No important decisions were made without their approval, and their decisions were sacrosanct. Not even the captain dared go against them, for one of the first decisions the council made was who should be captain.
They actually weren't that bad, other than the way they produced their income.I saw that show a while back... its really interesting. They also divided their pluner evenly over the entire crew and had a form of workers comp so if a pirate was injured and couldn't participate in a plunder he still got a portion of it. Its kind of interesting to see that for the most part they really weren't THAT bad... at least to their own.

This is probably one of the worst figure decisions ever made by HT.
I can't beleive how they really are wasting their efforts on sub-par release like this.
Well at least I have my Superman now announced.
Pretty much, if we get Angelica, shes not going to sell as well as Barbossa would. And there going to do the typical well she didn't sell people don't want pirate figures thing, and then we get no one else because these greedy ____s needed to make sure they could milk the crappier figure choices out of us before the good ones.
Females never sell as well, and hot toys frankly isn't good at making them.
