My Todd was budgeted as a Christmas present from the parents a few months ago.:lecture

It's this Sparrow here that is throwing a kink in my 'master plan'.:pfft::lol

We gonna go broke...:monkey1

Thats funny, Sparrow is my Christmas present. I thought it would be an early one, but from the looks of whats happened I think I might be opening it on Xmas morning. :lol

If i remember correctly somewheres it said that the buckles were going to be made out of real metal? Maybe that's causing a problem? And the hat is actual a real leather (or look alike leather) that has to be sown just like boots. It's easier to cast something than have to put it together by hand. From what I see, this jack has the mow authentic costume in 1/6 ever in terms of real fabrics. It's seems like hardly any plastic and/or rubber is being used on this figure besides body parts, Mark V might of been their most complicated I terms f engineering, but I think Jack might be the most complicated to produce in terms of costuming

:goodpost:

Using this pic as an example, the only big difference I notice is the hair which is much longer here than in prior releases. If the hat is real leather that would be a 2nd thing. The coats, shirts, pants, belts, trinkets, guns & sword have all been done before.

I actually read an official statement from HT on their Facebook that the Mark V was their most complicated figure to date.

True they all have been done before. But I think it's th little detailed on this one that really make it complex. In the pic you posted alone, look at the buttons one the vest and how detailed they are. Also the embossed (I think thats the right word) pattern on the baldric strap. Even the wrist wraps are real cloth this time.

To me, there still isn't a figure that has impressed me more than this DX Jack with it's level of detail. I'd say the only other figure that has really wowed me recently is DX Keaton Batman

Good catch on the buttons and belt detail :goodpost:

Are you sure the hat & wraps are real leather this time around?

Maybe it's his mother's headsculpt that's the hold up :lol

I know this and the original trilogy costumes like the back of my hand. there was a time when I was just going to customize an OST Jack so I did tons of research on the costume. But then I cracked and went ahead an POed the DX. So then I decided to make my own COTBP Jack and so I did all my research for that costume and head gear as well as the DMC/AWE costume b/c they are similar but not exact. So inreally know all the fine details of this figure and I honestly don't think even Kato could de a better job. Maybe just maaaaybe a better job on the overcoat but everything else matches the source material extremely well.

With that said, yes I'm positive that the hat, wrist wraps and boots are all real cloth. Of the boots and wrist wraps were sculpted, he'd have close to no wrist articulation or ankle articulation just like the HT AWE Jack and Cannibal Jack. As for the Hat, if it was sculpted, the folds would be much tighter similar to that of the HT AWE Jack of the Medi Jack hats

I was really hoping to get Superman on Christmas from me..because it seems like a "Christmas figure" with the base and all. Oh, and I saw it in theaters for the first time around Christmas as well....

Anyway,,I can wait for perfection.

True. I'm just saying they probably didn't plan on making a Titanic full of Batman's. Who know's. I just don't want to get stuck paying for this and Supes AND Christmas presents at the same time..on top of just paying for Batman.

this, Cap, Supes AND Christmas presents at the same time.:exactly:

All i think about when i see this pic is "I'm crushing your head".... looks amazing though can't wait to get this guy....I think the swappable face system is the holdup...how will the eyes stay in the head when the faceplate comes off? Are the eyes attached to the faceplates? Just my thoughts.

Excuse the terrible drawing , this is how i think it will be done.

Never mind the neck adapter part ..i just mean to show the part that sticks to the neck.

Honestly, that would really creep me out. I don't think I'd ever open that contraption up!

I'm not sold on this face swapping thing, i really hope it lasts well and isnt something that can break easily thys rendering the whole head ruined.

HT should just man up and supply two heads, rather than risking a new system in such a fragile and vital part of the figure.
