Sideshow stock is now 'checking inventory.' Man am I glad I had my order in, just in case! This will be by far my favorite collectible I own. Even above my PF's. Although, I do still talk to my Alice figure every time I walk by her. Mostly just say "hi Alice."

When I'm gonna be gone for a weekend I will say goodbye to my figures. Out loud.

I am beginning to think that when a sculpt is really good, no matter the photographic conditions, he will always look awesome.

The human face can alter drastically through lighting and angles, especially in photography. I think everyone should know this by now.

Even if you've never taken photography, portraiture, or whatever... just ever having used facebook or even myspace you would know.

I'm still on the fence about that.

I know how much lighting and shadow can effect the impression one has, but lighting and shadow don't change the actual shape of a face regardless of if it's 1:1 or 1:6.

I'm starting to lean towards: 'perfect sculpt' = lighting doesn't matter.

I agree, I believe when a sculpt is truly perfect it will still look good in the ____yest of pics, Indys sculpt is not a perfect sculpt so it relies on good lighting/angles to get the best out of the likeness.

I put it to Ford's very difficult to sculpt face- a "perfect" sculpt of him may never be done....Depp somehow is a smoother, easier to define face since he has far more successful sculpts done of him IMO

Lighting and shadow ARE the essense of photography- the human face is a complex shape...I don't think a 1/6 plastic sculpt wil photograph the same as a real human face....I've seen many many poor pictures of good HT sculpts- particularly Indy!

I can't see Hot Toys making another Jack from the series because he pretty much has the same outfit throughout the series (aside from the Cannibal Jack costume)...therefore, I have ordered two now Definitely don't want to miss out on these later on and have to buy a 2nd when the price is beyond retail

But I know the human face is not a stiff sculpt, so it cannot be 100%.

Indy= Poor example of a "good" sculpt.

T1 T-800, now that is a fine sculpt, please post a badly taken picture of that sculpt that proves otherwise.

This will be my first figure to get its own shelf in a deltof. Jack lazily holding onto the wheel with some rum in the other hand .

I just hope I can get a nice back ground. Tempted to go all Pirates 1 and get a small row boat for him to Captain.
