Yeah mate, sandpaper and scalpel. The threads are pretty tiny so it looks good when you pull at the strands. Also wetting it with a tinted wash helps. Twist it and let it dry. This puts a lot of tiny creases in the fabric. I just dry brushed the belt.

What does wetting it with a tinted wash do, and what is a tinted wash exactly?!

A tinted wash being, water with a small amount of color mixed in!
When it dries it looks like subtle tone, weathering. Just takes the new look off.

No...

he never looked like that in any other Pirate film. The entire costume was changed.

If you mean the pose....I don't think so either.

Depends on what you mean by look, if you mean no pistols and no scabbard, then yes, in OST, during his time on the Queen Anne's Revenge, Jack is without scabbard or pistols.

Also, while Jack is making deals with Beckett in AWE, he's like that too.

Not trying to be sarcastic, but have you watched the POTC films? If you're not concerned with armed or unarmed, then Jack spends the majority of the POTC films without his coat and hat, though I much prefer him in full attire.

I've seen them all, yes, but as I have said I'm not a huge fan so not sure what you're trying to get at. I was hoping that someone who had obsessed over the films more than me could give me a simple tip.

You're right, I've never seen any of them... clearly.

Jack only has 1 belt in Pirates 1, he wears 2 belts in Pirates 2-4.

Jack is without his scabbard or pistols like the photo you referred to for a short time in Pirates 3 and 4 as he is a prisoner and stripped of weapons.

So yes, Jack is seen with 2 belts but no scabbard or pistols.
