Messing with Jack... trying to see if the AWE head would fit on a 2nd DX body. Definite problems.

The peg between neck and head just won't work. I even tried with a Soldier Story body and the peg has one side that will work but the other side of the barbell will not (way too small). However, the AWE does simply sit on top of the SS neck fairly well without any connection.

So there's no easy way to use the new body with the old head short of dremeling out the AWE head and putting a Soldier Story plug up in there.

Here's the difference between DX Jack and AWE Jack... Giant Jack's problem is the boots; he's bent down in the first pic, upright in the second.

Also, what do you think of the AWE hat on DX Jack...?

Why doesn't HT sculpt new hands that are in scale with smaller type figures... this figure is amazing looking but those hands are like the T-1000's.

Actually the AWE hat has the correct shape where the DX hat is close but not quite right. It looks great with the AWE hat.

Local toy shop finnaly got this in and I have made my decision after seeing it in hand. I'm gonna wait for the Cannibal Sparrow version. I just don't see it on my shelves. The source material is average and I much prefer Dead Man's Chest. But I can say congrats to all who have this. Spot on sparrow and a fantastic set. Just not the one for me.

Cheers for you then. I know that the source material isn't the best for this DX, and I think a lot of peeps would prefer a DMC Jack to a OST Jack.

I definitely would prefer a DMC Jack, but since that's out of the question, I'm getting the DX to tire me over until Cannibal King is released, and then I'll either just leave Cannibal King as he is, or I'll turn him into a DMC Jack using DX parts.. Cannibal King Jack would afterall just be representative of one slapstick non-iconic-Jack scene in the whole scheme of POTC.

Totally disagree with that, the cannibal island sequence is a very iconic scene for Jack in the whole of POTC.

It's a $240 figure. Not that many people have that kind of money.

Like CR Superman and Keaton Batman, I'm sure they made a very large amount of DX Sparrow figures. They kept taking orders right up until he shipped so who knows how many ultimately got purchased. But it's a sure bet there will be plenty around for a long time.

HT was not going to want the Cannibal King to make a dent in sales, so the reveal has most likely waited until the majority of orders are filled.

However, the whole Angelica thing is strange, because selling her in conjunction with this Jack seems like it would only help her sales. They wait much longer and no one will care. I think they already lost a lot of sales that could have been made during this hype.
