From what I've seen, it looks like Leon has more or less every gun he uses in RE4. Look around his feet in the photos near the start of the thread.

There are some Ebay auctions by the seller abc-express that are at a much lower price point. The seller is from Hong Kong. Do you guys think it's possible that the U.S. online stores have quoted a higher price than the figures will actually be?

His prices are cheaper,but when you add shipping they are not! I do wish these were cheaper cause I want them All!

It probobly has ALOT to do with liscening rights. From what i understand, Liscencing rights in the states are somewhat stricter that other places ( colud be wrong on this). It could also be capcom charging MORE for rights in the Us than other places. In addition, there is also the imkport fee. Probobly it's ALOt of things combined IMHO.

I've never really understood why "imported" figures are always so much more expensive. Aren't all Sideshow figures "imported" from China? If the quality is there, a higher price is understandable, but if they want $150 for a zombie (in the future) that doesn't even have shoes, then there is no excuse.

Strangely when i was in Japan, the figures there were usually more expensive than I would pay for imported ones in the States!?!

I think what really drivest the price are smaller runs and a fairly rabid Asian fanbase. People are very loyal to Medicom, and I think Hot Toys is quickly gaining that popularity as well. Also the quality is typically finer on HT and Medicom figures, as opposed to Sideshow and Dragon.

I can't speak from experience, but I've read that it's basically just the fact that the market allows it. More disposable income + enthusiastic collectors = ridiculous prices.
I love Medicom, and in some cases thier products appear to be very high quality, but my Boba Fett does not feel like $150 when I'm holding it in my hand.
I've only owned the Hot Toys Robocop, which can't really be compared to a typical 1/6 figure since he's a unique sculpt from head to toe, but he kicks massive ass. I got him super cheap ($80) and I never felt like it was a lot of money. RPD Leon will be my first HT human, so I guess I'll see...

Thanks for the heads up on the figures on ebay.
I just got the normal leon and the RPD one.
Its best to buy them from ebay if you live in the uk cause you get them lots sooner and u dont have to pay tax :chew:chew

I'm not a big fan of the resident evil figures, I mean they look great, just not a fan of the franchise.

But I am really loving the chainsaw killer! I think I will pick him up, non of the others though.

You've got to get on board with Resident Evil.

I ordered the Ex Chainsaw Guy and Both Leon's.

I know you have a PS3 get a used copy of RE4, you won't regret it.
