Re: NECA T2 in store pics

Boil&pop did it for me in the past. I wonder is it the same for the NECA one.

And my question for Dwayne - do you have the sunglasses from MM4? What do they look like on the Man or Machine headsculpt?

Yeah, boil & pop was how i got the MM4 head off. I don't have the MM4 sunglasses anymore, though i would have thought they would be too small for the Man or Machine sculpt, the MM4 and T3 heads are slightly smaller than Neca's sculpts.

Re: NECA T2 in store pics

I wouldn't be too sure about that. NECA has been known for some low-blow variants. All of those AVP:R Predators come to mind. Masked, unmaksed closed mouth, unmasked open mouth, etc. Until I see a packaging pic with both heads I'm betting it will be a variant.
Would they really advertise a completely different figure by way of showing an alternate head on the same picture?

Re: NECA T2 in store pics

Awesome pics, thanks agen.

Could you take pics of the Man or machine head on the Pescadero figure body? cheers

Re: NECA T2 in store pics

Neca should do a deluxe 2 pack to round off the series, or something.

Get on this, right...The T-100 in his Cop uniform on the Police Bike & The T-800 on the Harley Fatboy, complete with shotgun and poseable right arm for shooting poses.

How unbelievably awesome would that be!? I'd buy that in an instant.

^^^ That would be BEYOND AWESOME. Why has no one done biked figures yet?

Re: NECA T2 in store pics

I don't know but i'd put my money on neca doing a good Job.

The end battle T3 box set was great

Re: NECA T2 in store pics

still kinda disappointed that they're not doing any 12" except for the pescadero escape version. really wanted the battle-damaged one (with left arm missing).

7" is too small, and doesn't fit with anything in my collection.

Does NECA's 12 and 18 inch offerings usually sell well though? I often see the 18 inchers clogging shelves at local specialty stores (Spencers, etc.)

Most sell quite well, especially the 18" Alien, RoboCop and figures of that nature. The only 18" figures they have made that haven't done that well are some of the Pirates of the Caribbean figures and the music figures.

I'm sure every version of the Arnie Terminator they put out in 12" and 18" scale would sell like hot cakes.

yep, that's what i think as well. their cult classics line was kinda hit n miss tho.

If the 12" Pescadero figure turns out good (especially if they fix the sunglasses issue) and if they made the BD figure in 12" it would definitely make me rather content even if Hot Toys never returned to the T2 license.

I'd still like to see Hot Toys do it but as long as NECA get the paint right, you can't go wrong with sculpts like these whereas with a super-poseable, fabric costume figure there are more variables involved - more potential for the body shape not turning out right, for the clothes not fitting right, for the neck/head join to look wierd, giraffe necks etc etc.

I personally don't think so, you can get the Hannibal and Rob Zombie Myers 18" figures for retail off eBay all day long. Even some of the older ones can be found for retail like the Endo or Carpenter Myers. At least the 18" figures. What's weird is it seems most of the time, there's 18" and 7", 12" are only so often. I'm sure with the 18", it comes down to how many people want a piece that large and within that group, how many are happy enough with a toy vs. say a Sideshow Premium format and things more upscale. Sure NECA's are $50 vs. $300 at Sideshow, but like I said, once you get to a certain physical size, your audience is looking for something else in a piece that NECA probably doesn't live up to. I've had 3 18" NECA figures and got rid of them all because they took up too much space and weren't that interesting in pose etc. to suck up the space over when I had the 7" versions which represent the resepective characters quite nicely.

u mean like the ht dutch figure? heh heh heh.

but seriously, i always prefered real fabric clothes/costumes over sculpted anytime. just for the added realism and the tactile appeal...

Yes, would be a bestseller in 18" inch.
The film has so many fans, here would be a large figure particularly appropriate.
