They're getting a heck of a lot of mileage out of that Endoskeleton. If I'm right, only the head has changed since they first made an Endoskeleton back in the Cult Classics line some 12 years ago.

Not even a repaint like Hasbro does with their ML line of reissues sheesh.

I bought one couldn’t resist lol

That mileage is a big part of us finally getting John, so let it be :lol

Per NECA twitter

Another reveal tomorrow. Taking a break from the horror theme for a bit with this one. Any guesses?

If John Connor counts as a 'reveal' I hope it is he.

Someone else asked the other day when we'd be seeing more of John and the response was 'stay tuned'.

Just spoke to Randy on the phone. JC is being switched to an 8 inch mego as they can't get the plastic on his short legs to work without him toppling over like an Irishman on a Friday night.

This is factual and not made up in any way. :lecture

Spyro the ****ing Dragon was the reveal.

Your stereotyping disgusts me!...........I'm a Saturday drunk Irishman I'll have you know.

What are the chances of them doing something from the 2019 film? It's out roughly a year, and we know T3 and salvation are off the table for now and probably ever with the way Randy seems disinterested with them.

So if they have the license for it and have access to some material behind the scenes like with Covenant and The Predator, they could be in the early days of sculpting now or in a few months to get them out in time for next year's film. Maybe.

If I had to take a guess at the most obvious choices, they'll do both Sarah, Arnie and (maybe) an endo if they have a new design or not.

I'm guessing the Genisys figures tanked, still in stock everywhere even at sale prices - well, notsomuch the grey-haired Guardian but maybe that was made in smaller quantities. So, if they have a choice in the matter, I wouldn't be surprised if NECA skips the new film. I wouldn't care really.

Just make more T1/T2. New stuff and/or reissuing older stuff every now and then.

I'd like to see them make a completely retooled T2 cyberdine T-800. The Tech Noir likeness looks great to me but the T2 Arnies look so warped.

I've always wondered was it sculpted to a specific moment in the film where he's firing the shotgun and maybe that's why his jaw looks pushed forward and his mouth and chin look kinda 'pouty' or tensed. That being the case, fine, although a second default expression would have been desired.

I’d still like for an Ultimate T1 Kyle Reese as well. I think I remember Randy saying no to another figure of him some years back, but anyone know if there’s been anymore talk about it recently?

Nothing specific. There was the PixelDan interview at comic con where they showed John Connor and the Kenner Terminators and Randy made a comment to the effect of 'we haven't forgotten about the movies' or something. That gave me some hope that there may be more beyond John Connor.

An ultimate Kyle Reese would be great - ideally it would allow you to have him in the first trench-coat he wears and also the coat he wears in the second part of the film which I think was a shorter, darker coat. You could also have sleeveless arms to display him without a coat like in the Silberman interview or the bomb-making scene at the motel. And maybe a BD headsculpt as an alternate. Accessories could be the shotgun, handgun, pipe bombs and the iron bar he strikes the T-800 with at the factory.

2029 Reese would be worthwhile but would have to be a second figure entirely.

We'd want T1 Sarah of course - I'm actually not sure how many variants she could potentially have. I've never paid a great deal of attention to how her outfit changes in the film although there was one scene where it was presumably on the floor somewhere......:naughty

There's at least one T1 T-800 variant they could do - eye surgery, wearing just the sleeveless vest and with bandages on his arm/hand.

Then there's the promotional photo shoot Arnie's they could do - the T1 movie poster in which he wears the leather jacket over bare chest, or the photo series that him with Tech Noir hair/punk vest with black leather jacket combo.

Plenty of T1 stuff there.

For T2 they could do Pescadero Sarah Connor, SWAT showdown T-800, an Ultimate Steel Mill T-800, Cleaved Man T-1000 (never seen this done by anyone), Pretzel Man T-1000, or more releases of the Galleria or Cyberdyne T-800 with the mid-torso joint that they put in the 1:4 scale figure.

New attempts at likenesses would be interesting - except T2 Sarah Connor, they really nailed that in one attempt.

Oh and hands, alternate hands for T-800s would be nice. Specific hands for holding specific weapons accurately. The current figures can't use certain guns because their palms and wrist orientation are for shotgun/m79 usage only. So how about a hand that can hold the shotgun upright like in the T2 movie poster or when he is exiting the elevator in slow-mo at Pescadero and Sarah sees him. You can't do that with the figures because the one hand they provide is for aiming the shotgun only. It would also be nice to have relaxed hands and fist hands.

There's a lot of options that don't seem to be considered for Terminator figures but which you might see on figures from other licences

Anyway, this isn't intended as a moaning post - more just to point out the potential the Terminator line still has.

I thought Neca said he didn't sell well unfortunately.

I like a lot of these ideas especially adding a up and down wrist hinge and a double elbow joint so we can get better shotgun poses.

Would you want them to use the flesh colored plastic on them? I always wish they would hit them with a matte finish to take away the shiny look of them.

I still wouldn't rule him out as a possibility. I think they make a lot of things knowing they might take a hit.

I wasn't thinking a wrist hinge so much as just alternate hands. It might not just be a case of wrist angle - the way palms and fingers are sculpted also effects what can be held and in what way.

Double-jointed elbows can be ugly looking but I guess since we already have single-jointed ones it wouldn't be a problem, they'd always be an option and we could just use double-jointed where needed.

As far as the flesh coloured plastic - I wouldn't mind seeing it although there's a good argument that they should keep the line consistent. On the other hand the Aliens line is no longer consistent - some figures use it, some don't - and it doesn't bother me that much.
