Re: NECA Terminator 2 figures

Thats a really cool idea and I'll see if we can make them do this. I'm still trying to figure out which one I like best. Man Terminator freaking rules.
Any chance of a sarah connor figure in this series ?

Re: NECA Terminator 2 figures

That's really cool because really I'm just a fan like you and I want the figures we make to best represtent what we saw in the movies we like so much. Randy is a huge fan too and works very hard to make these things come out great. I would say the pics you see do make the eyes look kind of squinty but wait and see how it ends up looking. I like when fans point out things that might be messed up. Now you need to get yourself that fogged dome Alien figure. Oh yeah.

I want to so bad. I actually want the figure more so then ever. Really grew on me as of late. But Watchmen must come first....sorry. They're actually avalible here, so...I need to get on that.

Re: NECA Terminator 2 figures

WOW, now that brings back memories and how time flies by. The Arnold heads here I did the eyes are too big.

I think the eyes are okay :D

*Arnie voice* Excellent!

I'm obsessive enough about T1 and T2 to actually want to recreate each and every possible T-800 clothing/weapons/battledamage combination from the films.

Whats great about these figures is that theres 4 of these combinations done perfectly already, no changes necessary.

If parts are swappable between these figures (I dunno, might add a risk of poor quality control?) we could create even more film accurate combinations by - happily for you guys and the company - buying extra figures.

Heres one I'm thinking of straight away - take a normal left arm from mini-gun T-800 and replace the battle damaged arm of the 4th figure in the toyfair display - voila - you have a perfect "McFarlane MM4" T-800 only now with the correct likeness. It might be missing some battle damage on the gloved hand but thats it.

Re: NECA Terminator 2 figures

One very important thing - make as many 12" variation as possible.
Terminator deserves it.
Hope NECA will hear it.

What's nice is, you could buy/make them all at NECA prices and probably still not ammount to the price of 1 HT. That's why I still collect things like NECA, quality figures, low price, easy to build a full collection without breaking the bank.

Re: NECA Terminator 2 figures

Hey Tankman!

Thanks for coming here and sharing. Speaking for myself, I love it when people behind the scenes share...and the main sculptor no less

If you guys could ever get the original Movie rights, that would be killer!!!!

Thanks and believe me I really want the first movie as much if not more than T2. If we can get it I'm sure we will. We'll have to wait and see how the T2 figures sell and if there a big hit I'm sure the boss man would be cool with us doing T1. As of now I don't see us doing a Sarah C figure but you never know.I would say the next figure would have to be the T1000.

Re: NECA Terminator 2 figures

You need to make a Miles Dyson! And after that, Dr. Silberman!

(I kid....please dont...:lol)

Re: NECA Terminator 2 figures

Yes. Although putting out the 2 'most exciting' characters first might be the equivalent of shooting your load before you get around to catering for all of your particular fetishes which would have lent the whole enterprise an extra layer of satisfaction and closure.

This is what I'd love to have before this license gets retired:

-Galleria T-1000, no battle-damage, relevant accessories, definitive Robert Patrick headsculpt (swappable with heads from the other T-1000 figures), torso should be removeable from legs for cross-compatability reasons. A chrome liquid metal variant could be issued.

-Pescadero T-1000 with sculpted shotgun hits, interchangeable normal&hook arms, split head

-Biker cop T-1000 - likewise a chrome liquid metal version could be issued.

-Donut head T-1000 (more accurate redo of the McFarlane figure), at this point in the film he retained the boots from the biker outfit. Like the McFarlane figure the torso should be removeable from the waist&legs so that the undamaged head&upper body from the ''Galleria'' T-1000 can be transplanted onto this one for an undamaged Steel mill scenes T-1000!

-'Split down the side' T-1000 (best I could come up with) - from the scene where T-800 attacks him from behind with a pole.

-John connor (steel mill scenes w/ many accessories to compensate for smaller size figure?)

-Sarah connor (steel mill scenes, hair down - most important she have that shotgun)

I'd buy other figures too but these seem the most important. No real need for exploded T-1000 because the McFarlane one is pretty good for that - and I thought I was pushing it with 5 (7 if you count my variants) T-1000s.

Re: NECA Terminator 2 figures

I think NECA can easily get away with 2 figures...after the whole Wolf thing.

2 Figures.

One standerd t-1000 with opinional arms, and a battle damaged head, and biker head.

One liquid metal version with a optional biker head.

But that would be what I've been complaining about - not milking the license for all its possibilities which every company prior to now has been guilty of. The T-1000, as I've demonstrated, allows for an even greater amount of figures than the T-800. I've even left out the metal stabbing fingers and the stabbing arm. In just 4 figures NECA, provided theres some cross compatability between them, have enabled just about every possible variation on the T-800 in the film. It'd be a shame to not give the T-1000 the same treatment.

I guess if I were to remove one of my T-1000 figures it'd be the donut head since we have the McFarlane one and the ''Galleria'' T-1000 could pass for my 'undamaged steel mill' version well enough.

CeltiP,
A biker T-1000 would have to be a whole new sculpt.

We wouldn't settle for just a helmeted head.

Thanks, ah...I would love to see Original Terminator Arnie in figure form - that would be sweet. I would imagine these will sell well! Just make sure the factory paints em decent, and you guys are golden....here's to the T1000...there are lots of possibilites with that one!

And I the only one that would love a badass Edward Furlong....? Say what you want about him now, he was a pretty kick butt part of T2!

Whats different?

Anyway, no. Milking is pretty bad. IMO.

Look at the AvP-R line...the movie sucked, but all we got was the same Wolf over and over. Boring. No new Aliens or a new Predalien....

They have to make things sell. You'll never get a John Conner because the mass public doesnt care. Unless he comes with Arnold on the bike or something....Sarah might do well. But any other character, you can forget about it.

I dunno....I just hate the billion varients, and nothing new to the table.

Re: NECA Terminator 2 figures

Hotlink Terminated!

Well ok then...but still, 3 T-1000s is more then enough.
