I personally like the fact that the HT preds are not bulky. I never did like the bulky look of the predators in AVP....In my mind, predators will always look the best when they are designed to be tall but slender (like in the first 2 movies). In AVP they looked kinda dumb.......and waaaaaaaaaaay too short. Predators are supposed to be like 7 feet tall.

Agreed. Kevin Peter Hall was a perfect performer for the predator suits, almost 7' tall and very slender so the added heft of the costume didn't make the pred look bulky. Sadly, he died in 1991 due to a contaminated blood transfusion. When it came time to make AvP they just got some regular stunt guys hence the lame short & bulky preds which looked far less like an actual alien and more like a human in a rubber suit.

Actually, I think the performer in AvP is quite tall... looking at the behind the scenes and some of the scenes in the film, he looked humongous next to the rest of the crew.

He is. When they had all 3 Preds on screen at once though, they used him plus 2 regular "short" guys and tried forced perspective to make them look as tall as he was, but it didn't work so well IMO.

I really hope someday soon, HT makes the original Predator as a 1/6 figure, to me, that's the best look of all the film appearances and I would deffinately like to have that, and even if they didn't get all of the soldiers done too, a nice Dutch would be great, but unlikely since they had to work around Arnie's face for the Terminator line, unlikely they'd get it for Predator, though you could always go for a custom.

Certainly Ian Whyte is tall, 7', but it's all about the proper body proportions once the suit is on - I believe Stan Winston addresses this in the Predator SE DVD. Maybe the costume dept. decided to make crappier, bulkier suits for AvP.

I also prefer the Predator body build from the first two movies. The ones in AVP didn't seem agile.

Maybe I'll try adding some height to the HT Chopper body give him a more slender look - and to balance out the head to body proportion.

I also liked EH.
I don't think Anderson is that bad, he just needs a good script and a good producer and I think he'd pull off much better movies. His movies are entertaining and have great visuals.
Art Direction is top notch.

The P2 Elder definitely rules! I hope HT tries to capture the different look of the Predators in the movie and doesn't try to rehash the AVP head sculpts.
Do you have any other behind the scenes images of the other individual Preds? I'd love to see them!
