A couple things I noticed about the sculpts; they all use the same body and lack the differential skin tones that exist between Preds and they are not as bulky as the Preds in AVP which is a plus because I thought they were too bulky in the film.

One of the worst things I think were the size of the heads of the Predators in AVP. The bulkness was kinda cool though in my opinion. Now, one may speculate that they were bulkier because they were a different clan/tribe. That or just the way they were designed. I mean hey, Paul Anderson was the guy that ruined the movie. I do think that the sculpts of the figures are very good though. One thing that could make them better though is different skin tones. However, it has been done in the case of the Elder Predator.

i would buy the phasing version anytime.

Same here. I so hoped that Sideshow would distribute these. Or some other US company for that matter!!! Dark Horse would be an ideal candidate after their release of the Kotobukiya one-coin Robocop Trilogy figures.

I got my Scar today. I now have the full current set of 4 Preds and 1 Alein I love these things they are so awsome.

Serp which one is your fave pred? I only have scar and now a celtic on the way thanks to twistedfreak.

i picked up the chopper predator the other day and i have to say it's prolly my favorite 1/6th scale piece in my collection right now. totally bad ass figure (for a character who was in the movie like 1 minute).

I really like the skull display on the Chopper Predator, but Im not a fan of his mask, which is one reason that I didnt pick one up.

Same here... awesome skulls... not so awesome mask. Better in the film though... pretty cool. Just didn't translate to plastic all that well. :lol

yah i'm not super crazy about the mask...but it has grown on me. i read on one of the predator sites his name on set was 'chopper' because of the wrist blades but they also referred to him as 'gills'...i guess for the fish motif of the mask (in the same way anderson referred to 'celtic', 'grid', etc). don't know what their sources are but the mask does look a little fish-like. celtic and scar have the coolest masks by far but the chopper does look pretty sweet with the skull rig on.

man... you gotta get AT LEAST one Josh! It's a really impressive figure at 14" tall :maul

I love how Hot Toys made these bad boys taller so that they geniunely look monsterous next to regular 12'' figures like the Colonial Marines.

Of course, so does the Alien...my Hicks is pissing his pants having to stand next to that guy.

I personally have to wait for a classic Predator before I get one... or maybe if the next film has a less extreme look to them. I can get around the Aliens, but those giant claws and blades just didn't fit with my idea of the ultimate hunter... to awkward and cumbersome. But when they release a classic version I will be all over that **** :D

That's how I was... until I got my Scar. Now I want them ALL!
