Re: Prometheus SUPER Spoilers!

That's not the only conclusion. There are hundreds of conclusions we could come up with. The stuff is alien. It does whatever it wants, it doesn't need our logic.

I wish someone would get a picture of the squid thing.

Oh, and damn.

:lol All of the dumbass retards commenting on that scene on Youtube are complaining that it wasn't the original alien, and are thinking that it's going to evolve into the Jockey-bursted Alien from the comics.

I hate Youtube commenters. So damn much. If you want to see just how stupid our pathetic race is, all you have to do is read Youtube comments. My god.

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

3. My understanding was that the Engineer sacrificed himself and his DNA became the building blocks of life on earth.

My theory is that they left the engineer at the beginning of the movie there for him to die, like a punishment or something, kinda like leaving a man on an island with a gun with one bullet.

I am assuming the thing he drinks is the same as thong biological weapon found in those jars. When he fell into the water, his DNA or what's left of his DNA in a freak occurrence gave birth to live on earth, hence the scene where the DNA strand actually decay and falls apart and the rebuild itself again.

Hence the engineers when they realized humanity has thrived on earth and is like a mutated and inferior version of themselves, decided to destroy it out of disgust.

Or maybe they just made us to be white mice kinda like how we breed rats for experimentation.

I mean their DNA is an exact match so it is safe to say what works on us will work on them. And now why would they want to build weapons of mass destruction? The same reason we all do.

And here we have the reason as to why the engineers want to destroy us. :rotfl

I do like the idea that
our creation was a mistake but why would the engineer be left there with a drink mixture. Surely he would have just been left with nothing.

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

I know! Giger Alien, Jockey being a giant Elephant man, Jockey fighting Giger Alien, LV-426, Derelict ship crash Alien queen and eggs setting up Alien. Nobody wanted that from this movie!

Oh, many people did. But that would be too easy.

You would already know the ending.

Expect nothing. Enjoy the ride.

Re: Prometheus SUPER Spoilers!

So much cool stuff in there. Fifield looks disgusting; in a good way of course.

I liked the "concept" Fifield better. You can definitely see how they were originally going with having him mutate into more of an "Alien" type being.

Re: Prometheus SUPER Spoilers!

Nothing like we've seen before.

It's pretty much a just under half grown xeno from birth too. Looking at it's anotomy it looks like it uses it's crest to cut through/ break out of the host.
Yeah it totally used the back of its head to cut its way out. Its not the most emotionally charged birth scene i think hands down that goes to Alien3 but tis the most graphic. Its probably the most time we have had on a Xeno bursting out, flopping out then having a wee look around

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

After 33 years its hard to expect nothing though. Millions of people have seen Alien and died between the first Jockey appearance and this movie all thinking it was a giant elephant man. And basically we got 0 of what we wanted from this movie.

It is deffo a good movie. And if the franchise gets another movie or 2 ill completely forgive this one. I just think its a bit of a cold shoulder to what Alien fans have always wanted. Theres throwing us surprises and twists and then there is delivering us 0 of our expectations.

Fixed.....

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

People need to stop expecting anything.

They always wanted what? There was ZERO evidence on what you wanted in Alien.

You just knew there was a thing in a chair, and an Alien came out of it.

You don't know what it looked like, you don't know how it happened, you don't even know what the Jockey itself was.

Fans have speculated, and inferred for years. But that means jack all when it comes to writing a story.

How do you know what the Space Jockey was? How do you know it wasn't a suit? How did you know there wasn't a tiny little person hiding under the chair?

You don't, and never did. So why couldn't he do his own thing?

One more thing we would have wanted a figure of.:lol Cool looking design.

I'm looking forward to reading what they had in mind when designing and portraying the Protoxeno.
