Man, that is one sexy-looking Vader figure you have there, JK! Looks like you nailed the helmet placement perfectly. I don't know why, but every new modified Vader I see here feels like victory. :clap

Kudos for going the extra mile by adding lforigno's custom cape, although I can't help but think now how much better they would be if he had folded the collar under the cape where it cinches around the neck. Have you tried seeing how it looks reversed?

(Edit: sorry, had to get rid of the pics from my photobucket account. Had to clear out some clutter)
No, but I have tucked it underneath the helmet. It looks good from the front that way, however the side and back (pics are pre-helmet mod):

I love how the cape hangs. It doesn't bell out like the stock one. However, the longer I have it, the more that I hate this oversized collar. Sometimes I think that if I was just able to shorten the length of the chain it might make a difference. I don't know of a safe way of doing that though, and I don't want to ruin it. The thing did cost almost half of what the figure did.

I know this is old news, but I just got mine a couple of days ago; Just to share the excitement hehe...

This is a really good Vader figure, especially after the "Dome Tilt" mod (thanks to everyone for sharing this tips) and a couple of other mods I did myself (Which won't make this Vader movie accurate, it's just my preferences).

I hope to see SS make ESB, ROTJ and ROTS version of him

What did you do to the body? it looks great!

Hehe... I know I will be flamed by "movie-accurate-figure-enthusiasts" but what I did:

1: Painted the face with gloss black except the lenses, cuz I personally hate the two tone color on vader's mask.

2: Painted the shoulder armor for a gloss effect as I prefer the fresh shiny look of Vader in episode III. (again, I know Vader's armor in ep IV looks more worn out - but it's just my preference).

3: Wired the cape and inner robe

That's all :wink1:

That's a terrific looking Vader, SW. That gloss really takes the figure up a notch that it doesn't even look anything like the stock look (I guess that was the point). It's also gratifying to know that modifying Vader's helmet continues to be alive & well on this board!

This really is more an Antilles pic since I just got him less than a week ago. I still need to tweak the shelf a bit but for now it's fine. I know the it's the wrong hand on Vader, but that's the only one SS included that works as a choke hold.

As much as I love this figure, the too-tall body just never sat right with me, so I started looking for a new buck. Took a while, but then I remembered Vader looked the way he did because the cast a tall muscle man to play him. With that in mind, I got another Hot Toys T-800 today and did this:
