ok fine......! I don't disagree with that logic. I'd just hate for that beautiful ANH to go and see HT do an ESB version. But come one, this is HT. They will surly do

ANH Vader
ESB Vader
ROTJ vader with full reveal
Dagobah Vader with Luke - full body
Electrocuted Vader with see thru Skull

At least, let's hope. So, in conclusion, dump it but do a decent buy it now price so you get your full $$$ back + extra. Good luck on selling it!

I am currently working on upgrading my ANH Vader. I added the widows peak to the Hasbro dome.....

Now to tweak the guantlets and outfit.

I know I'm really, really late to the ANH Vader modding party, but here are a few shots of mine so far:









I added the widow's peak to the Hasbro dome, repainted the mask and armor to make to make them a bit flatter and rougher, added new tusks, sewed a whole new tunic and cape, scratchbuilt a slightly smaller and squarer chest box (but keeping the pipe things on the side, because I didn't really feel like recreating those!), narrowed the silver belt buckle a bit, and shortened the body to 13.75".

I know the shoulders are probably still a bit too wide, and I'm debating if I need to shorten the gloves or not. And ideally I'd like to try sculpting a more accurate mask. But for the moment I think I'm pretty happy with where he is.

Thanks. I know there's only so much you can really do to improve this figure, but I'm still liking him a whole lot more than I was.

And he at least looks a helluva lot better than my ESB/ROTJ Vader right now (which I can barely even stand to look at anymore, with it's awful, giant mask. Lol):

Fantastic job on your mods! That's alot of great work and i love how you've done the widow's peak on the helmet

Thanks! I basically just carved a new pointier piece out of styrene and inserted it into the gap I made there.

And it took me awhile to figure out how to make the cape and tunic look a bit thicker and fuller, while still hanging the same basic way, but I think the final result turned out pretty good. So I might try making another set for my ESB Vader.

I've the anh vader sideshow but it is mint in his box. I have had Esb/rotj version both but I really didn't love him. Sold! I've a custom anh one that I'm not able to replace in his cabinet with any sideshow version. There's a lovestory between us! .
Your Vader is one of the more anh that I have ever seen. How did you do the new tusks? I'm too involved with vader anh. I'm interested in every detail. Is like a disease!
If I have to make a constructive criticism I 'd make this mod to the cape:

Yeah I think just futzing with the cape a bit should fix that problem.

As for the tusks, I just made them out of a couple different thicknesses of styrene strips. The actual tusks are a bit narrower in the middle, but it's not really necessary to sculpt that way. I found that once you paint the rounded end silver, the highlights kinda make the tips look bigger anyway.



And I tried to take some closeups of the helmet for you to show the tusks, but had trouble getting any good ones.
