Some older Dragon bodies were skinny with a rubber coating over "bendy" wire arms, but they were pretty crap, quality-wise. I think someone around here makes rubber arm sleeves for a not unreasonable price.

Yeah, but I believe alot people had trouble getting their orders. I dont know if has been resolved though.

bah, bendy arms, for figure accuracy, Visable joints are a MUST!

Well, as I suggested before, if you think that is the case, shouldn't the figure also have molded clothing for the body, similar to the Hasbro figures?

no, but it shouldn't be a Fragile statue either. it's an action figure, not a PF.

I COULD be wrong, but i think that the people using the billy sole body will in the long run, be disappointed with them.

Except Skiman, as he's just going to put it back in the box anyways. :p

Yea and throw away all those extra hands, paint the swords black, and play with him till his clothes turn yellow and the cobra emblem starts to fade.:lol

Yeah, he is a toy, obviously. And though I would like him to look as nice as possible, I agree with thenam and others that the joints are a necessary concession to making him a better toy. So, on the whole, that's probably the way I'm gonna go with him. I got the HT Dutch, and I think his arms flat out suck. You can't move them much, they might rip if you aren't too careful, just not great if you like posing your toys in more than 2 or 3 restricted poses, as I do (though probably necessary for the character).

But if your argument is that we should accept joints because the original figure had exposed joints, well, the motivation (as I see it) is to have the best update we can get of the original, not to provide a precise copy of the original at 3X the size. Otherwise, we'll need a lot more than exposed joints to get us there, and I don't think many people would be happy with the results (though I would personally really like to have 12 inch copies of the original, ARAH figures. . .).

I have 8 3/4 Storm Shadows, I had all kinds of versions, perfect paint apps SS, super tight joint SS, normal medium looking SS, MOC SS Peach, MOC SS Grey, ninja clan army Storm Shadows and my favorite knocked the f-out, played with like crazy, kamakazi Storm Shadow that had been beaten to a pulp in the war of all wars :rock :rock :rock :rock :rock

Why in the heck would anyone pay that much for just the box :lol

LOVE my Dutch that's why I'll loved SS/Billy, it's gonna rock!!! I tear up every time I look up at Dutch and say "whatza matter, been pushin too many pencils"

My original Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes (V2) have such loose joints that they just go limp like rag dolls if you try to stand them up. I played the ^^^^ out of them as a kid :rock

I remember the joy of being able to order blue Storm Shadow (Ninja Viper), and the abject terror of Storm Shadow's rubber band breaking, but my having changed the screw out so many times that I thought it was stripped beyond repair, never to be fixed! Fortunately, where there is a will, there is a way.

Something I tell my staff all the time, function over form. Might look pretty, but what good is it if you can't use it? I think that applies here. Don't ^^^^^ because an "action figure" has exposed joints. They're necessary for poseability. Only an idiot would argue using HT rubbers as reference. There's so much sacrifice there it's not even funny and 90% of the time people haven't even rolled up the forearm to see what they're dealing with. You lose considerable poseabillity and gain rigidity, fragility and potential decomposition of the rubber over time. For those that argue about realism, have a gander at the bent elbows. They don't look natural and you lose realistic range of motion. It's not worth it in my book. If you want something that looks pretty at the expense of poseability, skip the "action figure" and wait for the inevitable PF.
