Yeah, I've seen a few... I don't understand why you would spend 1 grand+ on something just to let it become a dirty mess and be displayed in a cramped, clutter of other collectibles that aren't properly cared for either. :ohbfrank:

Did the guy not offer a partial refund or was the mess too much to fix? I would have cleaned it myself and asked for a few bucks back for my trouble.

Done the deal outside eBay. **** eBay and their 10% fee.
I'm on nearly 800 feedback, if everything I done went through eBay I'd probably be double that.

But you were the buyer. Did you get it cheaper off of eBay then what he was asking?

Nah, he was an awkward guy to be honest. Got the heads up he was selling one through a friend.
There is no way I'd part with £1000 unless the item was perfect.
I'd rather wait months / years to get the right one before I part with my hard earned cash for a grimey, dusty, chipped regular edition. NO WAY!!
The exclusive of this will pop up sooner or later. Patience is a virtue ;)
Really looking in to possibly hunting down the Cinemaquette.
Been doing some reviews on that piece and JESUS! Wow! What an impression that thing has made on me! Would look amazing next to my Wolf LSF!

I have had the big three but for financial reasons at the time, I had to sell them:(

Sold them all?! :( Damn man, gutted!

If you only have one back, What would you choose?
Yes, big car troubles and couldn't afford to keep them. Sold my Wolf to Rogue Predator. This was really an amazing line-up. I was imagening the Predator 2 maquette on the place of the Wolverine. That would have been epic but it turned out otherwise...

It is maybe gonna sound as a surprise but although there were some inaccuracies, I would go for the Wolf. EPIC sculpt and pose. Lots of switch-outs... Was really amazing. Did you see that one in real life Col?

This was the set-up before the Predators:

No. Never seen Wolf 'in the flesh'.

Did you have to sell those as well? If I had the CM Alien I would of probably kept the 1:3 Pred.
Looked out of place in my, mainly, 1:4 collection.

Wolf is really amazing, maybe only 1:4 scale but one of the most dynamic sculpts I have seen of Sideshow.

Yes also sold the Aliens, we just have very limited place in our flat and it is just a shame to let these statues in the box. And another thing, all these boxes of the Aliens and Predators are huge, you need almost a separate room for the boxes alone... But Predators are really amazing, just a pity that the prices are always so high...

That is life sometimes but these are luxury problems to be honest. Now I am rebuilding the collection around XM-statues. I also read that you had a lot of problems with your latest SS pieces. At least you have one of their very best in Predator Maquette:)

The Big Chap, yeah. Both I received were pretty crap to be honest.
Happy to be done with it and the Reward Points will be better used on Machiko... Hopefully

You going for the Marvel Comic pieces then? I'll always favour movie collectables.

That Jaws Maquette I was talking about, just sold for £538!
They're gonna be pissed when they see the chips & scratches on that thing. I removed the grime :(
