See, I'm stuck here.

On one hand, there seems to be an epidemic of young female celebrities spiraling out of control. I believe it was Newsweek that referred to it as the "Girls Gone Wild Syndrome", and it's freaking tragic. I can understand that the media and paparazzi really fuel this fire, but she needs to seek competent and confidential help if she's falling victim to this. For pete's sake, she has two young children to worry about now.

But on the other hand, how do we know this isn't just some intricate publicity stunt designed to keep her in the spotlight when she hasn't made an original record in over two years??? I know it sounds almost conspiracy-theoryish, but I can honestly see some crackpot spin team of publicists and producers concocting something so hair-brained. If that's the case, then shame on her for going along with it?

I don't know what to think. Any thoughts?
