It turned out quite well, but I can see they didn't fix the greatest flaw, her child like fingers.
I'll really contemplate buying one when I see it compares well to Sideshow 1/6 figures.

Even better more detailed pictures that showcase Leia. btw The hands look more elongated and better than first believed. While still not perfect these pictures do show them off much better and show they aren't as stubby. The sculpt on the body is incredible, and a really nice touch is how the hoop earrings are seperate pieces from the sculpt, which adds more depth to an already beautiful statue.

A fellow board member feared that we may have lost some rear, but that isn't the case. The rear hasn't been made smaller. Just more clothing was sculpted to cover it.

I have to say this is by far the best Princess Leia statue ever made. Even better than SideShow's attempt at her. I don't say that often, because SideShow are the leaders in terms of quality and presentation, but I have to give Gentle Giant this one! They definitey have a hit here! Too bad the ES wasn't lower. Thank you for not giving us another debacle like Obi-Wan Kenobi. I would have been so pissed off if she had turned out like him.

The fingers still look better than what we first saw, and so what if they aren't perfect. They aren't terrible either, and the overall piece is still gorgeous. It's funny how everyone reflects on the bad more-so vs. the good. There is definitely more good here than bad.

Having said that, an approved sculpt on the fingers would have made this piece PERFECT! And right now it isn't. Although, it's still close!

Cause her legs were nearly half of the body's sculpt! I didn't like her legs! I like legs!

Leia's hands are a small portion of her. I don't focus on women's fingers really, but you're right. I should have worded that better. Anyway, perhaps I can get the Supergirl and you can get this Leia and we can get a master sculpter customizer to fix the respective areas that bother us.

P.S. Love how you're like me and remember stuff like that. hehe

This is probably the only GG statue I have kept pre-ordered. Glad it was not ruined like Obi-wan. I cancelled that immediately when I saw that final production.
