This thread has 'Jumping the Gun' written all over it.
Anyone who ever complained to SS about a problem with a product, received a 'credit or fix' suggestion first, and always had the option to return a flawed product for a FULL refund.
Especially you, CBG, returning !!5!! items know this.
So what is this really about? Wanting to have a thread with your name on it? Having '******ing thread' because we all love to do it?

Geez!

I think Dave is referring to what BuffyGirl stated...

We've all seen some collectors do this with the most minuscule issue(s).

I am guilty of this sometimes but, if the defect is visible from the angle I am posing it. You bet your sweet culo I want it replaced! Received 5 statues last month and 2 had visible damage. As a customer I don't like getting yo-yo around in waiting for a response from there customer service reps. Now I have to wait another 5-7 business days just to hear his response now, pretty pathetic customer service.

Damn CBG, you must bathe in money and have a house made of gold to be dropping that kinda money. If you need someone to clean your Ferrari I will gladly do it.

Visible defects are one thing and I agree that they should be rectified by Sideshow.

But collectors who complain because the shipper box is damaged or there's a teensy spec of whatever on the bottom of the base is another.

Collectors who demand perfection will never be satisfied. Nothing is perfect in this world. Nothing. :lecture

BTW...It still cracks me up to see Canadians use the word "culo". It just doesn't look right to me. :lol

I blame VS for this. :nana:

Hi bro, I pm you.

:rotfl agreed, mine was a sword that completely broke in half and a cracked off small piece. It's a bit much for me to keep so ething like this. I guess a refund is better than nothing which is still good as long as they still allow it. But I really want a statue not the money back. :(

I've had 2 pieces came in damaged/unsatisfactory and SS took care of them on each occasion. Didn't have to pay anything extra.
I think some people have exploited their policy to such an extent that they no longer find it feasible to offer replacements. Either that or their CS is also starting to spiral downwards.

I agree that collectors who complain just because the brown shipper was dinged/torn are overdoing it. Statues that come in damaged no matter how small they may be are a different issue altogether and SS needs to address them.

The brown shipping box I agree is going way too far. That is the shipping box and not even the statue. I know some want perfect boxes. But to be real it's just not going to happen.

I really hope it is just people who've gone overboard with returns that they're doing this to. I've luckily never had to replace anything I bought, but if they screw me over in the future with this I'll take my business elsewhere.

I really like SS but I hate to say it. The people who ask for every minor thing has made SS take it out on pretty much all of us lately. It's very difficult now to get replacement parts. I see this happen mostly on all the newer releases coming out. I always thought it was the easiest to be covered on a brand new statue. It's a uphill battle to even get real broken parts most of the times for me now.

It's really a shame. I remember watching Pitu vids on youtube years ago and he was saying "Sideshow is the BEST!!" when it came to customer service. And I completely agreed, as did most of us. But now that's changed and that really blows.

cbg could very well have spent that amount. He has been backtracking and picking up many statues, some at a premium, from the past few years, since he just recently began collecting and wants it all, like a good little collector.

Was this for an EX, and the EX is sold out? I've had them offer to give partial refunds or returns on EX's all the while the regulars are in stock. I don't know if that's an inventory issue or what, but it may be what's going on. Otherwise I've never had an issue with SSC returns/exchanges, and I'm probably one of the picky one's you all are thinking ruined the party for everyone.

SSC's been good to me, for my experiences. They take longer these days to process returns/exchanges, but that's my only complaint.

I'm glad it's been good for you. I agree it was good, it's just changing now starting with the lnew releases. :monkey1

You could buy every item in stock at sideshow and not spend 90k. I think he means 9000?

:lecture 9k only equals a few statues??? As collectors we know what 9k can get in this hobbie.

Is this . . .

THE BEGINNING OF THE END . . . for Sideshow?

No it's not, all we are asking for is better service in getting replacements parts for brand new items released items. I want the good feeling we used to get when we order from SS. If something comes damage. I mean really damage and not a busted brown shipper box or scratches that can't be seen. But actual broken parts, that I will be covered. Now it feels like buying old sold out statues and the risk is high when something arrives damage that is it. :gah: if SS can make enough replacement parts at least for the brand new releases. I would be fine. Please SS in the future just make more replacenment parts for brand new releases. I can understand if a buyer contacts you weeks after it's release that it's all gone. But come on when the buyer contacts you days after getting the item with no replacements. It just makes this hobbie feel like a gamble to me on each statue we buy. Please make enough parts to cover at least the first weeks release!
