Speaking of Hulks, you know that I'm really surprised about the BD retro green Hulk. It's petty hard to find one of those on eBay nowadays, and when you do find one it selling for almost $500 itself...:yess:

I'm freaking shock to the socks about that and the scares find on that statue.

It's a great statue! I had one but sold it off since I was getting the Comiquette. It was my fav. hulk statue until the SS Comi came along.

Com'on ink show the BD retro Hulks some love. It took me a minute to warm up to this statue, because believe me. When it first showed up I was the least bit impressed with this statue. Even though it's not my favorite of the 5 Hulks BD released that year, it's no longer number 5 on the list either...;)

I got my damaged box version from Sideshow yesterday. Amazing statue. I am not a big Hulk fan and was hesitant to get it but am very glad I bought it. And the box damage was not that bad. A few of the corners are bent and there is 1 tear(maybe 3-4 inches long) on the box but if I had paid full price and received the box like this I probably would not have complained.

No, 2 weeks ago in their newsletter. They had a distressed box deal on an exclusive that you had to e-mail them about. I took a shot and sent the e-mail about it. They got back to me saying the exclusive one was already claimed but they had a regular with box damage that was mine if I wanted it. I contacted them back and now I have it.

You're like a pimp on one of his working girls when it comes to BD...You're hard on'em!

too many people give BD a free pass, but yeah, I sold em all...and I don't regret it. I'll never buy another bowen statue ever again. I don't enjoy the cookie cutter route they went, or continue to go. I'm but one of many that walked away from bowen

and don't get me started on the FB revisits, that was part of the downfall

I totally get your point of view and I share a lot of them. My biggest problem with BD, is that he doesn't make a lot of dynamic action poses. I sipped from the cup of Kool-Aid with the making and me ordering all of that same posed Hulks from a few years back. But then at the same time I don't regret buying them as they go with theme that I have tried to create in my collection. I think that it's been a little over a year since I've bought my last BD statue. That's mostly because characters choosen and museum poses, but I have two more themes that I want to build (1/6 X-Force team and those new Spider-Men). I don't think that I'll get all of those Spider-Men, but the Spider-Man theme that I'm working on calls for a Classic Spidey museum pose. Action pose would have been better but it'll do for right now. Other than that I'm all about 1/5 or 1/4 dynamic action poses that meets my collectors eye. I think that BD FB statue would have went over a lot better if it had incorporated new sculpts of those characters. I think that the only BD statues I regret buy are...Human Torch & FB Dr.Doom (should have went with the colored version). All in all I don't have a total disdain for BD Inc., as I'm not one of those completist collectors. I'm more of a character driven collector...e.g..my avatar photo. 1/4, 1/5, 1/6 & a LSB if possible.
