Ohhhh man, I can cancel some pieces and pick it up later but not this. And I am sure it will go on "In-Stock" section after shipments, but I am getting it no matter what. This will be my #1 statue of the year. If it gets in the "In-Stock" section, I'll get another chance of getting a second EX, hopefully.

1. When introduced I had concerns about the head size, hair and pose.

2. The backstage pass video did away with any of my concerns and I really liked the statue (ordered ex.)

3. Pics from SDCC really got me excited about this piece.

4. 100% sold on this statue after seeing video from SDCC, and I think it will be the best statue in my collection and I have the Hulk PF. This thing is gonna be awesome!!!!!!!!!

I would like to know if it is hollow? Anybody know?

gotta be hollow.. look at the pose and the connection to the base.. this is one piece that it would ok to be hollow.. hope the base is solid

I have to be honest....I'm unclear how you go about making this assertion.

Ok...you read some posts from a few people on the board that they have canceled their order. That doesn't necessarily mean the majority of people who have pre-ordered have canceled. Conversely, I read read a few posts from people who have come from Comic Con and now want to buy this piece. I don't think I can draw the conclusion that pre-orders on this piece have suddenly skyrocketed.

Second, never underestimate how in hand pictures can cause folks who were on the fence regarding a piece to finally pull the trigger. Personally I wasn't sure about buying either the Venom or Hulkbuster comiquette when they were first revealed. Then I saw in hand pics on both pieces and bought them both.

If we read into some of the posts on the board about this piece you would've thought Sideshow execs had been tortured & beaten to death and their bodies thrown to the wolves.

Of course, it is what it is, but it still miffs some of us who were hoping to one day see Sideshow do "modern" Hulk justice in this scale, only to get something that looks very cool, but is not an ideal Hulk by any stretch. Bummer, because I love the character, but not the statue.

I understand your point. But let's be honest, at some point in time we all will feel that SS didn't do justice to a certain piece. I don't think SS did justice to Colossus with the new comiquette. Some folks don't think justice was done for the new War Machine maquette because it's not dynamic enough.

You know the old saying, you can't please everyone. Hopefully SS produces a modern Hulk down the road that you like.

Kept the faith like you told me to. Was worried because I jumped on the waitlist immediately after seeing it in person and thought everyone would do the same or definitely hang onto their order. Just glad there are a lot of hair hatas that didn't get to see it in person and canceled.

Good choice! I can't think of a better comiquette to start off with. This piece and the Punisher comiquette are my 2 favorite comiquettes.

The sculpt, colors, and pose all rock. Olivetti has real style. The shot that sold it for me:

My ikea billy book case just wet itself. Gonna have to hit up ikea to see what the hell can hold 24" H x 20.5" W x 16.5" L.

Probably a mistake for Optimus unless they used styrofoam instead of polystone to construct him.
