That is the stock paint right? The nails on mine don't seem near that dark. Also, your base seems to have A LOT more shading then mine and others i've seen. Could it just be the pictures?

Verrrrry Nice draekus. Venom looks great.

Take this one for example. Look how much lighter the base is. That is more like mine....lame I like the dark better.

Sorry bout the last post, this is the one I meant to quote. This isn't my statue but my base looks more like this. The shading in the base seems WAY better Kings.

What do you guys think. Don't these bases look WAY different?

They do appear different, but it's very difficult to compare/contrast them in the pics provided.

Picture of this second isn't the best but I know from looking at my own statue, the paint, particularly the base is not nearly as good as King Darkness.

Ironically while viewing the Bowen FB Crouching Venom, there were knocks on my door...Reminded me whose the best venom statue out there!!!:chew
Its still icy cold out of the box 30mins ago.

Here is another one. The base on this looks okay but still doesn't look nearly as shaded / weathered as Kings. Or could it just be the pictures?

It finally arrived....

Here is another one that looks a lot better shaded then mine and the other one I posted. I know the picture quality is better but not better then my own eyes looking at my piece Could it be the contrast on the photos making the shading look darker then it really is even to the naked eye?

Even in that light I dare say yours still looks better shaded. However it is closer to mine. I'll have to take a closer look at mine when I get home from work! Maybe I can take a few pics and post em.

Sorry, man. Dunno what to tell you, brother. Maybe yours was painted by the one armed Chinaman with an eye patch at the end of an 18 hour shift. Also, sometimes pics pick up certain details which appear different to the naked eye.
