I like Venom and all but damn apparently everyone and their mother wants this statue for the price to be SO high. What exactly is it about this piece that is making it so valuable?

When you receive your Thor PF & you're pulse starts slowing down after an hour or so, replace your Thor PF with Venom.
That didn't really explain anything but it made more sense when I was thinking it.

Venoms pricey because its the best depection of him, Huge and tounge stickin out, symbiote all over the base, just a pefect depection of venom! Venom is probably sideshows best comiquette! His price is only going to go up since i doubt they'll ever make a pf or a long time before another 1/4 comiquette is released!

That does bring some clarity to the question. Truth is it's rare that a statue can get SO valuable based solely on its design and not some movie or media hype. Congrats to those who own him...and hopefully one day I can include myself to that list. I'll try and win the lottery

This hobby is filled with hype wagons and if enough fanboys jump on the wagon then bam you get a "grail" that is simply what happened with venom, now granted some pieces justify more then retail, its all a matter of preference. I owned this piece and didnt find it overly awesome but if i was a huge venom fan maybe i would think differently.

Yea I've heard the word GRAIL thrown around a lot, however I tend to associate the word differently than most. I would consider many statues grail pieces but ONLY because I personally love them regardless of whatever anyone thinks. Sure I'd like for the preceived value of my collection to go up, but mainly I care that my collection represents me. But I see what your saying Celtic. Btw almost anything Thor related is Grail to me...
