Well, I'm basically neutral on the character. I don't really like him or really hate him. I thought maybe the statue would grow on me, but it's size and cost make it difficult for me to buy him ANY TIME, but now that SS moved up the release date, it's pretty unlikely I'll get it. Particularly because I have a LOT of stuff ordered for 1st quarter. Basically the most ever. Doc Holliday PF, Evil Queen PF, Duke, Mystique,just to name a few of them.

you guys cancelling are frickin' insane. This is probably the best SS piece put out in several years. That is if it looks like it did at SDCC. If you are thinking about cancelling or have already cancelled, you're not worthy of owning such an awesome piece.

The print sux.. But i bought a reg version. I saw this at comic con and it looks really good. I bought a spidey back in black just to display with this piece. The bases match up. I agree with you people that are cancelling... CRAZY!.. This is the best venom statue to date.
I own the bowen "bart sears" version couching. And the SS version makes it looks silly.

a little dramatic, but cancelling the exclusive does not mean I won't get the regular - I have to ask myself, is spending an extra 25% (yes things cost way more for those of us outside the US) for a print worth it?

No, it is alot more than that once you include CA taxes, shipping, and the discount online retailers give. I have the EX on preorder from SDCC AND a Regular on preorder at Alteregocomics.com.
Sideshow Venom EX: just at $300 (goes up a bit at ship time)
Alterego Venom Reg: $241
That is roughly a $60 difference for a piece of crap print that NO one has liked and a lower ES. Normally, I would keep the EX just for the lower ES, but I can't justify it for this piece. I will use the extra $60 to go towards my Doom fund and get Alterego points to boot.
If anyone wants my Venom EX it's yours for cost + fees/shipping to you; remember, I live in CA for you gotta pay the sales tax.
