Re: <> DX11 JOKER 2.0 - OMG Photo Review - P1~2 <>

Great pictures.
I do prefer the material used on the prototype but Im not fussy as I never had the original Kato coat so cant complain really.

The only improvement in the coat I see is in the collar, which is sharper, and the lining which you can't see unless you pose him in the grenade pose ironically enough.. Which you can't with this fig.

I prefer the material used for the DX1 coat, and I prefer the grenade attachements, and I prefer the weathering. But to each his own, guess it depends on what your find important in these things. Sorry for the poor fuzting, my figure has been in one pose for over a year. :lol

Unsure if I should buy the laughing sculpt on ebay at one point.. I expect rediculous prices, but would like to put him on my Bank Robber Joker figure.

That looks good when properly futzed. Plus, i think that repaint really brings out the ledger likeness, ecz.

Thanks, or well, I should thank Small Studios for that. He really did magic on this.

I really really dig the blueish grey coat on the new Joker though, man that is some nice tailoring, looks alot better than my redyed one!

Yeah I rarely get involved with discussions about these things anymore, I get annoyed and other people get annoyed and it never turns out well.

I've taken to just enjoying my own collection, popping on and getting news, sharing the occasional opinion, and not really worrying about how everyone else enjoys their hobby. Things would be so much nicer if people would stop thinking everyone else should think the same way they do about their personal hobbies.

I agree 100%. Same here!

I kinda enjoy the discussions.. I kinda like hearing and giving my opinion. And sometimes, as with SS Yoda, who I didnt like from photos at all, I buy something I kinda like more in person because of good feedback. :huh

Re: <> TDKR BANE - OMG Photo Review <>

Bane's released already?

They seem to be pushing all the Batman ones ahead of others

Anyway, he looks okay, better with the shirt on though

Makes sense, the Blu Ray is still fresh out. Better business sense to release the line and cash in before people get over the hype of TDKR.

I actually quite like this Bane but I have no reason to waste money on it.

I think I like this one more than the DX joker. I can't pick out any immediate nit picks. Looks solid.

I have the DX on preorder and will probably part out the laughing head (unless I totally fall in love with it once in hand). If you want I can keep you in mind for interest, shipping would certainly be cheap sine it's inside NL.

Re: <> DX11 JOKER 2.0 - OMG Photo Review - P1~2 <>

I respect others opinons and taste in collecting, but im tired of the whole, "well for only a few dollars more you get a bigger figure BS" when comparing 1/4 to 1/6. I personally have no interest in 1/4 for 2 reasons:
1) SIZE. They take up too much damn space! and theyre just too damn big and
2) ive collected 1/6 for years. I have dozens of figs in 1/6 and i have no urge to start collecting on another scale.

IF you want to buy 1/4, cool beans and from what ive seen, theyre amazing looking but dont go on the boards with an attitude putting others' 1/6 collections down and overstating how much better 1/4 is..

Re: <> DX11 JOKER 2.0 - OMG Photo Review - P1~2 <>

I've been considering just displaying him with the coat off. I think the figure is quite exceptional sans coat.

On the other hand, the coat is a signature of the character.

I'm thinking the same, on both fronts.

Well your not really respecting them if you are complaining about it.To be honest I like both Hot Toys and 1/4 scale and my choice will be preference in relation to the costs, quality and existing collection.

Both 1/4 scale and 1/6 scale collectors have the right to express their opinions in both threads. There are just as many 1/6 scale posters saying how crap the 1/4 is and vice versa. This is how these boards usually go. One group trying to get a leg up and justify their purchase over the other.

It IS possible to be constructive without bashing the other figure. Just because people mention certain dislikes does not automatically mean a figure is bad.

We are talking about the same character after all. It's an easy comparison to draw.

Both of these pieces have problems under the microscope.
