Tron > Inception. More emotion. More of a catchy theme, and way more fun to listen too.

To close to call for me, They both fit so perfectly with their films

Those scores arent that much fun to listen too. Except for the Fountain. I like bombastic action scores, with themes.

Generic action scores with sounds annoys me. It gets me pumped up.

I agree. I listened to the Black Swan a few days ago, but overall Tron is more fun. Inception also has me going back over and over again.

Especially the violin which starts at around 1:00 minute in. Very beautiful and haunting IMO!

One of the best soundtracks in it's year. Hillary Hahn is a brilliant young soloist.

Neither are in the same ballpark as Black Swan.

'Black Swan' has a much more comprehensive score than 'Inception' and 'TRON Legacy' (eg: not so repetitive), but I have to say that I personally was drawn more to the latter two scores. 'Black Swan' was good, but it's take/remix/update/etc on the 'Swan Lake' music didn't captivate me as much as the original Tchaikovsky music does.

While Kick-Ass used several John Murphy score pieces that are from other movies, I thought they were used great in some of the emotional scenes in Kick-Ass.

Black Swan is a good soundtrack. I think Tron is a little better.

There's a ton of strings in most of the tracks.

yea, the Tron Legacy soundtrack isn't electronic techno, there are symphony instruments throughout.

Does anyone have the 2 CD edition of Tron? There are a couple of fantastic tracks on the 2nd cd. Not sure why they weren't included on the first cd.

1) tron legacy by daft punk
2) inception by hans zimmer
3) the social network by trent reznor and atticus ross

truly brilliant stuff. i've been listening to them on rotation recently. and for the tron score, it's best when played LOUD.
