I don't know all the facts of what went down, but as horrible as this may sound, I kinda have a hard time feeling sorry for the victim. Sure it was a tramatic experiance for him and his family but I just can't stand people who make an alot of noise or let their kids make alot of noise or talk or send text messages while I'm at the theater to watch a movie I pay hard earned money on. Sure he didn't deserve to get shot over it but some people certainly need to be taught a lesson in common courtesy. That being said the guy who shot him looks like he needs an ass kicking as well.

this is why I'll be taking limited trips to the movies this year(when I go,it will be Matinee)...I am tired of people talking, their cellphones, and my seat getting kicked throughout the movie. Its not cheap to go to the movies and people have no courtesy at all...If your paying to see a Movie...Watch the Movie!! and Shutup!!

I say something to the A-holes that talk obnoxiously in movies. At first, politely, like "please keep it down." if they don't listen, I make it my goal to make their movie experience as miserable as they're making everybody else's, limited by how hard I can kick their seat or throw popcorn.

a$$h0le$s at the theater is one reason I much rather prefer to watch movies at my pad.

When the Two Towers was still in theaters, right at the end scene, Where Gollum is talking , a fight breaks out behind me , a guy had been talking on a cell phone for about 20 minutes and a dude kept telling telling him to shut up. The guy that was on the cell phone started beating up the guy telling him to shut up. It turned into absolute mayhem, a small riot erupted, the best part was that a dog started barking and running around the theater while all this crap was going on!! I don't know where the hell this dog came from!True story, only in NJ!

I almost always go to matinees. Trouble is, depending on the movie, there is usually more little kids then. What I hate most of all is teenage or young adult males. Between the foul language and the movie commentary, I could slap them silly.

I gotta agree; the only movies we really see anymore are comic movies and even then I am amazed at how rude some people are. When my wife and I went to see Spiderman 3, there were these two teenage girls that would not shut up and were constantly giggling and talking on the phone. I went out and talked to the usher, hoping that would help, but after he talked to them and it still went on, I politely asked them to stop. They rolled their eyes and mumbled something about, "mind his own business." They started talking shortly after that and I shouted stop talking, that seemed to work.

If theaters want to charge $10 to see a movie, they need to be more serious about booting out people who act like jerks. When we went to see TDK, a lady had an infant who was crying and the ushers eventually asked her to leave; people around her started clapping. Again, this guy didn't deserve to be shot, but he should have been tossed out of the theater.

As horrible as this is....I'm not gonna lie when I've thought about doing something similer... But that is just my deep animal savage instinct. As long as you can counter balence it, its good.

I really....really hate when people talk in the movies.

Musta been a good movie.

I hate people who ask questions during the movie.
If its a good flick itll answer your questions if not its your problem.

lol i totaly agree, my G/F asks questions all the time while the film is playing, if shes struggleing to understand the plot........... realy gets anoying after the first few.

I'm assuming there is more to this story and that the shootee wasn't the innocent audience member. I'm sure the guy who was shot didn't just ignore the shooter. There was most likely a lot of posturing and threatening going back and forth.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

If you're making a nuisance of yourself in the theatre while the movie is on and something bad happens to you then GOOD. I have absolutely no sympathy for you.

BTW, Personal Cell Phone Signal Blocker Devices work great in theatres.

I see a new on screen campaign for Regal Cinemas - "Please refrain from talking - or suffer the consequences."

Disclaimer: "We are not responsible if you get your ass shot for talking during the movie. This applies to cellphone use also."

When we went to the midnight showing for TDK they said before it started that if anyone uses their cellphone during the movie they would be immediately asked to leave. That was pretty cool.
