When we went to the midnight showing for TDK they said before it started that if anyone uses their cellphone during the movie they would be immediately asked to leave. That was pretty cool.

:lecture

That's the kind of stance ALL theater owners should be taking.
They need to realize that by standing up to rude audience members they are winning the respect and patronage of the rest of the audience.

I remember when I was a kid that the ushers would come in and check on things from time to time, and if you acted up, you got a flashlight in your face. One warning and that was it, you were gone. Of course that was a local theater and not a chain. It's gone now. :(

Have any of you heard of an awesome thing called a "THEATER USHER"? They are great for handling noisy customers and generally keep you from getting shot or having to shoot (or otherwise make miserable) someone so you can enjoy your movie.

They don't have them at our theaters now. They have cleaners who come in after the movie is over but that's about it. Even if you have problems with the movie sound, etc, you have to go to the concession stand and they have to get the manager.

Well then go get the bloody manager. It seems pretty petty either way for people to get mad at someone for disturbing your movie and spend the rest of time trying to disturb them back (and likely others who are in the same vicinity of the theater).

When I had the issue with the two teenage girls talking nonstop, the usher was pretty useless. He whispered something to them and then offered to refund our money if they didn't stop. Maybe it is just our local theatre, but there is almost ALWAYS a crying baby or cell phone talkage going on.

Yea, most theaters don't have ushers anymore. The only ones who come in are the guys who look around to make sure that nobody is recording the movie. I will admit, that I have gotten plenty mad during a film when someone is talking.

I remember seeing Superman Returns IMAX at midnight and some moron brought their infant, who was crying about 5 minutes into the film. We got up as a theater and told the people to leave, seeing as thought it was an IMAX screen and only had about 100 people in it.

Anyway, don't if I would get so mad as to actual shoot someone. I might stab them a little bit or maybe even a tazer, but shotting them?? :lol

Shooting the person is easier, and more effective then an usher. :lol

Mm...indeed.

"OMG LOL JASON WANTS TO MAKE OUT LOL LEMME TEXT HIM LOL!!"

"SHUT THE ^^^^ UP!!!"

*BAM!*

People who talk during movies also piss me off, but shooting someone for doing
so is a bit rich. And who the ^^^^ takes a gun to the theater or anywere for that matter?????

i have bad luck at the theatre.. always sit next to someone that wont shut up, or a guy that just HAS to reach to the very bottom of the popcorn bag to get some pop corn.. then follow it with some m&ms..

I went to see Valkyrie yesterday and requested the headsets for hard of hearing people..(this was at an AMC). Great sound from them.. I had them on and could still get surround effects during big explosions and such.. but I didnt hear one person talk or eat food the entire movie.. and for once I was able to watch an entire movie without having someone ruin it.

The theatre was completely packed as well.. so there you go. Just ask for a headset, they are free and if you dont need to use it, then no harm done.

I love when some of you people get in a hissy fit because people carry guns. Any of you ever meet me at some get together, there will be a really good chance I am carrying, and you won't even know. Unless I'm in a school or a federal building, I am armed. If this guy has such a short fuse then he is probably a menace to society and shouldn't even drive a car because of possible road rage incidents.

Theaters generally suck. Overpriced and full of inconsiderate ^^^^s that kick your seat and talk during the movie. If I have to see a movie, I prefer to get there 20 minutes ahead of time just to scope out the seats where I think there will be least problems. And the earlier, the better, before all the teenagers that hang out in front of the theater on Friday/Saturday nights make it in to see the show.

Shooting someone is a bit much, but I FULLY support pistol whipping a chattering ass bag!
