That's weird. All of this time and I've never noticed that.

looking at those photos again it seems to me they are production pieces. colours seem hardly shaded compared to the Proto Photos which have that kind of dirty green looking shading, especially around the feet. I'm sure the back will just be as plain aswell.
when the aussie dollar is dropping and this a quite an expensive piece, I still see room for improvement.
