Yup! Time will tell. I've read a couple of quotes from people saying they are glad they didn't buy the original or are no longer seeking one. Less demand means cheaper prices.
I'm happy to wait on G and the Grey reveal. Hopefully with a ripped shirt and possible switch out hand it will offer something different.
Exactly. That's why I believe the original PF will always be the most sought after Kirby styled Hulk. The pose, musculature, and quality put into the old PF can't be matched by the new one. The new PFs body is all off for the Kirby head and the Kirby head on the new Hulk doesn't come close to the original. Again, this is just my opinion and as I said...I have no horse in this race. I won't own either PF anytime soon. Hopefully the Buscema styled head works perfectly for the green body. I agree with you that the Kirby head looks off on the overly ripped and defined green body.
See, that's where our major difference lies. It doesn't matter how many peeps will pass on the original PF to buy the new one. The question that has to be asked is...are there more than 1000 peeps in the world that prefer the old green PF to the new one? And, if so, are they willing to pay a premium to own it. History so far has show they will.
Hopefully you'll like the green and grey Hulk. I think the grey Hulk looks awesome. It's the perfect McFarlane styled modern grey Hulk. I loved reading those issues he did with Peter David. They were some of my favorite Hulk stories. If I wasn't squeezed for space, G Hulk and the new grey PF would have been added to my collection.

Once an older piece reaches a certain price point do they ever REALLY go down I price. There are a lot of guys who have already paid a premium for those Grails, and I can't see them selling them at a loss. Not unless they absolutely have to. So while people might not buy them at a regular interval at a fast clip they may still stay high. The original Green PF has been selling at about $1200-$1500 over the last few months, and the Hulk Maq has been out for about a year. So I ask the Vets here... Is that a drop in price from what it WAS going for?? has it gone up??? Or has it held steady??

The price on any collectible fluctuates from year to year. I believe I saw him going 2k a couple years ago, but that's a premium price. I believe he holds right around 1500-1700, every once in a while you'll find a deal. Same with the Cap and Thor, they hold around 1200-1500 but I've seen them dip as low as 950...Doom however, I haven't seen him dip below the 2k mark in quite a while.

It was suggested that might be the effect of the Green lighting but doesn't look like it to me and I would of thought those are the finished products.

The hair is a darker green then it looks like in the video though. You can tell from this shot in which the three were PhotoShopped together, but the light appears to be more natural, judging from the highlights and reflectins off of the skin and hair. ... At least that is my interpretation

With the Kirby Head
I am sorry to all who love the Kirby head BUT IMHO the first one is FULL of awesome and with some tweaks with the hair would be a perfect raging modern Hulk, and the other one just looks SAD... Literally sad... like "Puppy Hulk".
I want a tradition, non-gladitor (even though that statue is amazing), green hulk. I would buy this one, no hesitation it it had that modern head. This is killing me! I guess I got to wait for more pics...

Yeah, I'm starting to think the hair is green, but at the same time, his hair is listed as green on the Marvel Character info page.
If you look at the picture of all 3 statues at the end of the reveal video, it is a non photoshopped image of all 3 together. And it seems very clear the hair is green.

Haha. I really don't mind the green hair at all. I mean, black would probably create more contrast, but before like 2005 when I got into comics and movies heavily. I kinda pictured the hulk with green hair.

When I see that in that green color, it does not look like the hulk to me at all. Like, not the same demeanor. Like, those red hulk face sculpts look so down right evil. And I never want hulk to look evil. I want him to always have that "***** going to go bad if you don't get away from me" face.
Really awesome photoshop job though!
