Yeah caught that as well.

Boyega is doing a great job of channeling Elba.

I loved it that Boyega used Poe’s line from TFA with his “Give it everything you got!” battle rallying order.

In certain ways it looks better than the 1st.

Shin should be the big baddie lol

Shin would laser the **** out of those jaegers :lol

I was going to say, Boyega seems a little dialed back, which is good...but then the rest of the trailer happened :lol

Couldn't tell exactly, but it looked like all the Kaiju combined into that big one. Voltron Kaiju :panic:

I wonder if the Jaegers will do the same :panic :panic:

lol @ Shin laser

Yeah I got the vibe those Jaegers were going to Voltron it.

Looks like they're fighting other Jaegers now, maybe the Kaijus are making their own, or other human factions.

Full blown Annie May now.

Looks exactly like the first movie. If you liked the first movie then you'll like this. If you hated the first movie then you'll hate this.

As a massive fan of the first one, I've seen it around 10 times so far, I don't think this looks like the first. The things I loved about the first movie doesn't seem to be present here, I think it's going to be very different.

For one everything moves so much faster, part of the charm of the first is how the monsters and robots move, they had weight, things took a second to do and when the impacts occurred it felt heavy. While I don't mind the lightness to the way these monsters and robots move it gives it a completely different feel.

The designs are way different, the first films designs looked liked giant walking battle ships and tanks, these looks more like ninjas and samurai, it's even noticeable in the weapons they use.

The Kaiju are wearing Jaeger tech now and they look like the alien covenant from Halo, I don't mind it but it's very different form the first film.

Also, flying Jaegers? While again I don't mind they could barely lift the Jaegers out of the hangers in the first one and now they are flying with rockets? That just goes back to my point of the weightlessness of it all. When Danger was falling form the sky in the first film I actually felt like they were going to create a crater but here, I feel like these ones will just hit the Iron Man pose and be on their way lol

Still excited, I'm a junkie for giant mechs vs monster action.

Can't wait for the generic comments from those great behind the scenes featurrettes like "we said to ourselves, how can we advance Jaeger tech" "we wanted to streamline jaeger tech", "how would jeagers evolve" blah blah blah blah.

Just like with the first movie, they want to be like anime but they don't have a clue have to make it work.

First one had slight Lovecraft and model kit elements, it's gone in this one.

I've never seen anything like this before.

Looks like they removed the big gantrys the pilots used to move the Jaegers, and just made everything holograms. Mmmmmeh.

That confused the hell out of me on first watch thru.

I don’t know how I feel about that but like I said more dynamic, it could still turn out to be cool.

Pretty much why I didn't like it.

Why not full blown Lovecraftian-like monsters VS titanic fortresses with legs and hands?
Why no dark tones and moody visuals?
I don't know... Maybe I expected too much from Del Toro sensei.

"I've never seen anything like this before."
We did tho. Bayformers and Independence Day 2.
