Since technically they are two different items (full pay / flexpay) couldn't you get on the wait lists for both options?

Now that is an INTERESTING question! I've never tried, but if they really are different SKUs, I suppose it should work. Unless they have some manual process later for cleaning up "duplicates".

But that would raise the question, would an unscrupulous person (none of us, to be sure ;)) be able to pre-order two of a "one-per-customer" item if they placed one order on full pay, and one on flex pay? I don't mean wait lists, I mean actual confirmed orders, prior to the item selling out.

No. For some reason, their system catches that when items are limited to "1 item per account."
 
No way, Sideshow does clean up duplicate orders for the same item. I'm sure they don't allow multiple waitlists, even on a regular pay and flex pay separation. They will manually go in and probably delete both orders.

But I can see people who now know about the distinct waitlists for regular and flex, now switching to ordering on flex. Of course if everyone jumps on the flex pay bandwagon, then in the end it would be better to stay on the regular pay!

Here's hoping SS fixes this terrible waitlist policy. Seriously!

Smart thinking Sideshow, change the CC policy and get everyone to send in money orders. Early payment and no CC fees! :rock :clap :bow
 
LOL, did they really write that out in your email? Mine just had the item number.
 
Who is paying with a personal check? Everyone here has been doing money orders and cashier's checks.

I think I will. I'm going to call them up tomorrow for a total and get one sent out. I got birthday funds to pad the old checking account so there should be no problems there. Plus I wouldn't have to buy a money order and I'd know from my bank account if they cashed the check or not. :dunno
 
I called today to get a total so I could send a check in, but the gal that does that I guess was out to lunch or something so they said they'd email me a total by the end of the day. Well, I still got nothing. Hopefully I get one tomorrow morning. I'd hate to call again and be a bother, but I'm not taking any chances on this guy.
