This will probably be the first Dead item I pass on. I hope it bombs horribly. I don't want them to make more than this. And then maybe I can pick it up for cheap later.

Hopefully it'll tank, SSC will come to their senses and reboot the 12" line, where the soul of this license really lies.

I would be surprised if this sold out on the first day. I am sure it will have a low edition size but it will also have a price of $500.

I agree. Life size busts rarely sell out that quickly, and given the fact that so many Dead collectors are 1/6th scale purists , my guess is that it will last for a few days at least.

Unless of course the ES is 50 or lower, in which case it will last about 45 seconds.

I'm not so sure about that high of a price point, but of course we all went around and around about this with the premium format. Pricing should be lower because it is not a licensed product, etc. Then of course, a lower edition size would dictate a higher price, due to costs of initial production, etc. I'm hoping he's not over $400 though.

That sounds about right. Look at most of the universal monster 1:1 busts
there es. are really low, and I would have to say they are much more popular even though this looks more wicked than any of them imo.

On a side note is it me or do the eyes look acrylic? Either way they look awesome.

I'm now bored and officially over "The Dead". I love my little zombie hoard, but these just don't justify PF, LSB or 1:1 prices IMO.

If they brought back the 1/6 I'd still buy, but seems like those days are behind us.
