Re: No Cash No iPAD

:horror They can see me watching TV and eating popcaorn in my underwear??? :gah:

:lol..............yes they can...........:lecture.......true story (not really true at all.........i hope)

i swear there was a thread about that at one time.............teemu might have posted that i think.

"A woman was recently told at an Apple Store that her $600 in U.S. currency was no good for buying an iPad. The woman in question is disabled, lives on a limited income."

:lol Seriously?

Yeah that's my first response to her buying an iPad. She should be knitting blankets or something, not buying an iPad.

~~Apple is hilarious. They didn't have a problem with me buying a laptop with cash 2 years ago. How does she not at the least have a checking card for her bank account??

I'm guessing this policy applies to gift cards too? I bought my first iPod many years ago just by saving gift cards I'd accumulated. I'd be beyond pissed if I were told I couldn't buy something after saving all those damn GC's. :gah:

I bet there are 100,000s of people on "limited income" (probably welfare and food stamps) that spend their money on ipads, ipods, $100 shoes, cable, cellphones, etc instead of on food and heating.

Substitute "Hot Toys figures" or "Sideshow statues" from one of the above and you are probably describing several boardies :)

Lol....This thread brings into the thought I have when I see people busting out their checkbooks at stores. I know most grocery stores still accept checks, but I know for a fact that many others no longer take them as forms of payment. I guess cash/check are both becoming obsolete.

Oh I hate check book people and the people that have to buy massive amounts of lottery tickets while all I want is to pay for gas. :thud:
