I doubt it since Best Buy would pay Apple so BB would accept cash.

Apple has now said they will accept cash as long as the person signs up for an Apple account in store (I assume if you already have an Apple account and pay with cash that you obviously won't need to sign up.

They also gave the woman a free iPad as an apology.

Yea, the Apple strore here is the same way. If you bring cash, they make you go to the mall office and get a visa gift card to use.

I own darn near 10,000 worth of Apple product and I think that the iPad is a fricking joke. I think she saved herself a lot of money not buying a mediocre product, and who cares if she wanted to treat herself. Man, you guys make it a crime that a woman who can't work can't enjoy the finer things in life, granted there is nothing fine about an iPad. What a craptastic piece of junk. Either way she could have saved up the money. I believe she did.
