I've never had this happen but my feedback is at 689 at the moment. Is this something new or is it just for under 100 feedback? I haven't sold anything for a couple of months.
here's what ebay/paypal keeps telling me....the only one that relates to me is less than 100 feedbacks(only 67):
Your payments will not be held if you meet all the following
requirements:
· Your eBay tenure is more than 6 months.
· Your eBay feedback rating more than 100.
· Your buyer dissatisfaction is less than 5%.
Or if you meet all the following requirements:
· Your Detailed Seller Rating is greater than 4.5.
· Total Detailed Seller Ratings Received: More than 20 in the last
12-months.
· Your buyer Dissatisfaction less than 5%.
If you have had more than 5% dissatisfied buyers in the last 30 days,
you are required to offer PayPal or a merchant credit card and may have
their payments held.
These requirements are per individual eBay account. If you don't meet
this criteria yet, we recommend that you implement best practices to
reduce buyer disputes, claims and chargebacks.
I just don't understand why this time? I have sold another figure on ebay and paypal didn't hold the payment.
I'm not the sort of person to rip someone off (hopefully some of you guys on here know that) but I just don't like the idea of releasing these without actually getting the money first. I know it sucks for the buyers. My wife is telling me not to send them, and as she put it. "I don't go to the supermarket and get the shopping, then pay for it a month later, so why should you".
I have sent an email to paypal an they returned saying pretty much 'tough' although my complaint has been noted.
I ended the other figures I had for sale on there, although paypal/ebay still get THEIR fees!
I have contacted both buyer to ask them to start disputes against me, and I have emailed paypal and said to refund their money at once.
I hate having to muck these people around, but why should I be out of pocket for 30 days? and why didn;t this happen on the 2 other figures I sold? it's just random paypal bull^^^^.
Also 1 of the buyers visits this forum, cos he know my screen name. so if either of them want to do a private sale through here I am, I'm not going into hiding.
Anyway I've learnt my lesson not to ever sell on ebay ever again. I just hope all of this hasn't ruined my reputation on here.
Its a good idea to state whatever payment method you would prefer in your listing, but unfortunately you cant put an item on eBay now without giving Paypal as a payment option. No Paypal option = no listing.screw paypal, just ask for money orders or checks
as for your reputation, it took a nose dive as soon as you started to fly the flag

thanks Slug I know I can count on you.
okay, I have refunded these guys money, and told them they are free to leave negative feedback. I feel like ^^^^ anyway
I don't know why I'm telling you all this.........
Don't worry...I'm sure that at least one of the buyers won't neg you
Your an awesome guy , if they leave you neg I'm gonna egg there house and put baby tarantulas in there slippers.
Dude , pm sent.
This guy just sent me something I was looking for for ages for free.
NOW THATS AWESOME.

So in the end the buyer can still use it.
...another one of eBay's rediculous 'new rules'.
Sounds like you have been fair enough with them.
I hate eBay and Paypal, but unfortunately until there are some decent alternatives, its a necessary evil.
