I'd try it out :lol. It shouldn't develop dangerous static if it's a very low powered vacuum and it has very good reviews. Generally, any type of friction does have the potential of creating static electricity, even if it's dust that's blown from an air canister.

Later you'll read me crying about my bricked computer on this thread.

My friend has this. I've used his before. Works well and it's a good thing to have. I'm going to wait when it goes on sale though.

^Yeah, it looks like a good investment. I read in the Q & A section that there's an "Electric Discharge" version that's also selling but not available on Amazon. I'm guessing it mitigates the amount of static generated from the vacuum...

Are any of you guys using Steam's "Big Picture" mode? I'm going to try it out tomorrow. I bought a 35 feet HDMI cable and a USB receiver for my PS3 controller. Hopefully, I'll be able to take my PC games into the living room now.

You can actually stream your game to another computer on your network using Steam. And on Android there's some apps that can use the Nvidia Shield streaming if you've got a graphics card that supports it---Works really well, though I don't know about controller configurations.

Nice, I never knew about streaming on Steam! That's sounds like something I should try eventually. Unfortunately, the laptop that's currently connected to my TV is very old (Core 2 Duo, 4 GB of RAM, integrated Intel graphics chip). So, a long HDMI cable from my desktop was the only option right now.

As for the controller, I'm just going to use Motioninjoy to load X-Box 360 drivers for my PS3 controller.

sounds good....

Have they came out with a wireless option for the xbone controller with pc's yet? I'm still wired with it.

Big Picture works PREFECTLY! If you guys didn't try it out yet, I highly recommend that you do, especially if you have a large screen HDTV. It was really easy running the HDMI cable along my wall to my television, and there was no HDMI signal degradation, whatsoever in the 35 feet cable. In addition, the Bluetooth adapter works well for my PS3 controller. No more gaming on my desktop monitor anymore :lol.

Good deal, haven't needed big picture since I'd be directly on the computer. I've considered doing a media PC though, you could get something that runs well enough and add some stuff like a Blu-Ray drive along with it being able to play your media and stuff like that, and with streaming you could play games from your main PC.
By the way, since HDMI is digital it isn't possible to have signal degradation, the only thing that could happen is that it doesn't work at all or there's latency.

You bought wireless HDMI?

A media PC sounds like a fantastic idea. For next year, I just reaaaally want to replace my Gateway laptop in my living room that I've been using to watch streaming videos on my 60 inch TV. I bought it in 2009 and I'm long overdue for a new one, as it doesn't do anything very well, aside from watching videos on YouTube :lol. When I do get a new laptop, I'll definitely try out the wifi functionality with Steam that you mentioned.

I keep forgetting that digital signals with HDMI doesn't operate like analog signals, ugh :slap. But, I've read reviews, where some people had to use signal boosters for long cables, because they weren't transmitting at all for some reason. I'm just glad it worked for me the first time I plugged everything in.

Wired :lol. Aside from the black color, it looks pretty neat and inconspicuous. I've run it along the edge of my walls, and nailed some cable tacs to hold it in place. 35 feet was cutting it fairly close, though, but I've got about two feet of play to remove my Desktop for under my desk, for weekly cleaning/maintenance.
