Mr. Green
Super Freak
Prefer his helmet on. And yes, hopefully his eyes is red like this pic:
too bad his pec looks ****ing stupid
how you **** the anatomy up is beyond me
yes but theres two problems
(1) this is a ****ing video game character, not a body builder
(2) as seen above, the separation is exeragatted, it is too deep and wide and looks more like a wound than a muscle separation.
That aside, Mr. Green would like some shading to PCS' paint job to add shadow. They tend to have a single skin tone to their coloring or what looks like simple matt skin tone. It would bring the statue to life if they do it like how SSC did the recent hulk pf.
Man, this is a videogame character based on a huge bodybuilder, I hope you realize it. I suggest you wait for more pictures to see the thing up close, you say it looks like a wound while to me it looks clearly like if the skin of his upper pec muscle is overlapping on the skin of the mid pec muscle... which is pretty much how it works.
I don't entirely agree on this point. Right now I have displayed Goro and Balrog PCS, close to the Sideshow Conans (Prize, Rage of the Undying, Fury of the Beast)... so I have a good display of half naked muscular men.
On average, yes, Sideshow uses more colors but it's kinda of a comic-styled paint app since they tend to mark a lot muscle separations and use a lot of painted shadowing, which isn't completely realistic. In theory, the sculpted muscle should cast natural shadow that doesn't require paint to simulate muscle separations.
On the other hand, PCS paint app may seem a tad monochromatic from the distance but I guarantee that getting up close it has a lot of finesses that are lacking in many Sideshow pieces - both Goro and Balrog have painted pores all over their body, for example (attached a pic of mine). PCS also always paints darker veins under the skin as they should be.
If anything, PCS would benefit from sculpting skin pores on the body via textures, like Sideshow did on He Man and Sonja. It would give an extra edge to the sculpt considering they mostly do muscular people with a lot of skin showing. It would create even more incosistences to the older pieces of the same lines tho.
